River looked exhausted, pushing his light brown hair back from his face as he looked up, "Yes?"

" The Boy you brought in, You said he was a Sawyer in you testimony, yes?" She asks gently, leading him to another room

"That is what he claimed to be, yes. Said he wanted revenge for his parents," River confirmed. He was beyond done with this case and part of him wished it all would end.

" Well its true," The woman murmurs and runs a hand through her head," But... We have one major problem... She's diagnosed with multiple personality disorder or MPD.."

"She?" River echoed, running his hand through his hair again, "Well, that doesn't entirely surprise me. The kid had obvious mental problems, even I could see that.."

" Well... Thats what we wanted your permission on... Hospitals all over the nation have been commissioned to conduct an experiment on MPDed people.. Especially aggressive ones," The young woman drums her fingers and murmurs," The experiment is that an MPD is allowed to live with a family for six months, the family will pose different scenarios and if the MPD contects to an individual, tht individual shows a wide range of emotions to find out what triggers the switch.."

River listened, a bit hesitant to why she was sharing this information with him...Then his eyes widened, "M'am, you can't be suggesting that this Sawyer kid stay with me. Forest is a murderer- and he, she, whatever, killed Officer Morgan and /admitted/ it to me," He stopped dead in his tracks and shook his head, "To be frank, I don't want to be around the kid. He needs to be sent to a mental institution."

" SHE, Mr. Jekkers, it seems as if her alternate personality is male," the woman corrects gently," But... We spoke with your mother and she agreed.. But you make the final choice... This would be a revolutionary study but... We only ask you because your family was the only one not to hold contempt against the Sawyers but.. We thought it'd be safer with a police officer.."

River rubbed his face, at a loss. Trust his mother to agree to something as absurd as this. While it was true, he didn't harbor any cruel feelings toward the Sawyer family, previously nor currently, he wasn't entirely comfortable. He certainly didn't like Forest Sawyer, MPD or not.

"And what if something were to happen. That Forest would snap and kill my mother or even me?"

" Death sentence, though we have no evidence that she is the serial killer, we can assume quite confidently. An eye for an eye,"

"I have to admit, I'm not entirely comfortable with this," River told her, "I don't really want her in my house...but I'm willing to try for a little while, for the research of it."

" We'll cut the trial down to one month if it doesnt work out... I'm sorry to have to put you through this, River.." The woman sighs

He waved his hand and shrugged, "Don't...don't worry about it. I'll get through this, somehow," He took a deep breath, "So when does this 'experiment' start?"

" Now, if it's convenient," The young woman murmurs," I already took care of cleaning her up and.. Getting her comfortable.."

"Might as well," River muttered, calming himself with a breath, "My mother knows about this already, you said?"
