He frowned to himself. "I cannot disobey my orders. What is your message?"

" My message..." She trails off and holds the cold beverage to her chest, staring off into space for a moment before murmurig," My message is to a boy named Dallas, please tell him... That I miss him... And i'm sorry," she immediately retreats from the room

Dallas watched her go, his eyes full of sadness. "I miss you, too," he breathed as soon as she was outside of earshot. "I love you."

Ayla hurries back to David, opening the door and closing it quietly behind her. She had taken a quick sip of the Soda, just in case, but she felt fine so she places it on the desk.

Ayla kneels next to David and hugs him around the waist,"... I'm sorry my dad is giving you so much work..."

David gave a small smile. "I must be the best king I can be."

" But you also shouldn't over work yourself," she chides and smiles at him," Come with me to the lake, or a party... Take a day off, I'll beg my dad to give you slack!"

David hesitated, then shook his head. "No. When I am finished with my training, I will spend more time with you. But now I must go to combat training."

Ayla pauses than nods, her emotions wellin up in a confusing mass inside her chest," Alright..." She murmurs and kisses his cheek," Just don't get hurt.." She stands and turns her back

He smiled and kissed her cheek before walking off down the hall. He paged the general to let him know he was headed down to the training courtyard.

She sighs faintly, wishing quiety that they could spend more time together but she just returns to cleaning up the desk

It was a week until they were married. Dallas had felt the pressure in his chest rising every day while he spied on David and watched Ayla do normal things. He had to speak with Ayla but... how? He walked towards the room with a note under the coaster of the drink he was to give to her- he had stopped trying to assassinate David so there was no risk of killing the love of his life.

Ayla was in her room, hugging her knees to her chest. She slowly began to feel more and more trapped with every passing day... She hadn't heard from Dallas so maybe... Maybe he didn't care...

Dallas knocked on the door with an impatient tap of his foot.

" Come in," she calls softy, suprised that her voice cracked. She clears her throat and sniffs, jeez...

Dallas entered and set the tray on the table next to her bed. "Good afternoon, My Lady. I brought you some water and a napkin. You'll find it underneath your coaster."

" Thank you," she murmurs, smiling brightly
