The boy blinked and hung his head. "I did skip out a few times. Then is this my fault?" He asked, looking at her. "Did I do all this? Did I lead the monster here to kill my.... My...." He trailed off, tears welling up again

She realized it and shook her head "nope never one kids fault, it must've been some other, plus you seem like a sweet child" she said

The boy sniffed and wiped his nose again. "Ok then." He said, seeming unconvinced. "So, what were you doing out here?" He asked her

"I..i was looking for my rabbit that ran away, but its ok, do you want to head back, im sure your parents are worried

"My parents are..... They're dead." The boy said. "That monster took my pap apart and my mom died in the fires." He said, his tears coming again as he let out a sob

She hugged him "hey, shh, it ok, ill take care of you"she said

The boy hugged her back as he began so bing again, but this time more controlled. "You-You will?" He hiccuped

She nodded "of course

The boy managed a smile through his tears and hugged her tightly. "Thanks." He said with a sniff

She nodded and smiled, "first we have to go to the village, and help any body who is hurt"

The boy gulped and nodded. "Ok." He said, showing a face of determination, but fear glinted in his eyes

She smiled and took his hand then started walking back to town

The boy gripped her hand and walked back with her. As they reached it, it was still on fire and a wreck from Sheo's meddling. The boy shivered. "Some man told me to run from here, that there was nothing more here for me. Do you think..... Do you think he meant there were no more survivors?" He asked

"Im sure there are more" she said casting a small spell to make it rain.

The boy nodded but still looked doubtful. He looked around as the rain fell at his destroyed town. "Where do we start?"

She pointed to the wreckage blocking the towns road. "There" she said as the fire was extinguished. She led him over "stay here while i move it" she said referring to the wagon.

The boy nodded and stayed there, obediant, but his knees visibly trembled and he glanced around nervously, as if exspecting a monster to come out

She pushed the wagon away and then went back over to the kid "common, lets go"

The boy nodded and took he hand again, squeezing it tightly and staying close to her. The fires had finally died down and now the only thing left to show Sheo's appearance was the destruction caused to the buildings and a few dead bodies lying around

She shielded him from the bodies and looked around for survivors.
