"I cannot reveal my secrets," The words were said with a scoff, pale arms crossing over her chest. She shot her a teasing half-smile, "You'll just have to stick around and find out, Alainn."
She smiled as the waiter returned with their food. Everything was neat, clean, tidy, just like how she liked it when she ate. Ahem, unless it was under special circumstances. She swooped some lo mien around her fork, slowly eating it. Closing her eyes, making a soft humming noise of pleasure.
Emi plucked up a California roll, holding it delicately between her long fingers, "I do have to say that Mundanes have done something right when it comes to food. I rather enjoy partaking in meals here." She took a bite of it, keeping the half roll still intact.
"Mm, too true." She sighed, rolling her shoulders. Her entire body had relaxed. "Oh, Emi! I forgot." She fluttered her hands, swallowing her bite before continuing. "Twenty questions. Mundies play it." She gestured with her fork. "You up for it?"
She threw back her head and laughed. It was rich, full, everything a laugh should be and then some. Stroking down Emi's skin like fingertips, or something thicker - her lips, her tongue.
She stared at Emi, amusement in her face. "Physically? To the Mundy eye? I appear to be around twenty-seven. But truly?" She leaned closer. "I am one-hundred-and-seventy-three years of age."
"I had assumed it would be in that range," Emi's pink lips twisted into a smirk as she watched her, "Most Fey age differently than humans. The same is to be said about demons."
She propped her chin in her hands and half-shut her eyes. "Mm. A Guardian is stronger, smarter, generally more powerful. We age more slowly than a regular Fey. Part of being a Guardian is searching out a mate, an apprentice, and a successor. Some Fey Guardians need a healer, as well, depending on their Talent. And that's a capital 't'."
She dug her fork into the pork fried rice, scooping some out and pointing the fork in Emi's direction. "Open up." She wanted to feed her date - so what? She answered the question, though. Kind of Álainn, wouldn't you think? "Mm - well.. I'm like... Medium old. There are those who are older than me - much older - and those who are younger than me - much younger."
Alainn's fork slid into Emi's mouth, Alainn's own mouth opening in the process. Her lips were bright, bright pink, the lipgloss shining on the surface. God, she wanted a kiss. She ducked down her head, taking her fork back once the rice was deposited in Emi's mouth, and scooped up some lo mien. She popped some of that in there too, set down the fork, and began on chicken. "Do you have any more questions for me?"
She shrugged, light and easy. She put some chicken on Emi's plate, then finished off her lo mien. "Mm. I miss the Fey realm. I only go there to watch out for my mate, my apprentice, and my successor. That happens once in every hundred years, give or take."
