(I don't like to identify as Wiccan, so I choose Pagan. I just don't normally mention my religion - it's tricky to explain.)
He laughed, and it was rich and full of warmth and happiness. "No, Jacob, do not fear for payment. Just know that you must make your decisions wisely and trust the people around you. Allow your heart to speak, not your mind, for the mind can deceive as well as the heart."
Momma spoke. "We understand that you are Blended - part Air, part Fire. Ignis is not here today, so I shall speak for her. Go with passion, go with lust, go with desire and understand that you must trust. Do not fear, for those you love are near."
Papa finished for Her, for His One and Only. "And my son, we always here for you. Ask and we shall guide. Now ask and we shall answer."
(Thanks. Some people are judgmental. I don't like judgement.)
"That is a hard question to answer." Papa frowned softly. "Look to the North, for that is where your heart yearns to go, but go instead to the South. Fire and passion drive you, so allow yourself to trust. Your family is hidden, but they will come to you if you listen."
Hewa was standing next to Momma, their hands linked. "Am I allowed to accompany him?"
"No!" Momma and Papa barked in unison, their eyes focused on Hewa's face. "The woman of Water must go with him, not those of Air or Fire."
(I never judge an entire group at once. I prefer individuality - I struggle to be diverse in a world that wants me to be one thing and one thing only. I don't like stereotypes, not at all - a friend of mine keeps trying to put stereotypes upon me. I told him once, and only once, to not do that anymore. I believe my exact words were 'Don't put stereotypes on me! I'll break them simply because they're there and I don't like being normal. I hate normality, it scares me and I don't like it. So don't make me normal'. That should say something about my character. )
Momma looked amused. "Why do you reject her so, Jacob?"
"It's not about reproducing, Jacob." Papa stepped up closer to him, staring down at him. The Man was nearly seven feet tall. "Do you like her? Just as a companion, not as a lover?"
Jacob looked down at the grass underneath his feet. "Well, I mean... she's really abrasive... a little bit on the weird side, but hey, so am I. I just don't know... I just need some time to sort things out with my own life before I can even think about combining it with somebody else's."
"That is understandable." Papa rested a hand lightly on Jacob's shoulder and gave it a fatherly squeeze. "But do not waste time, my son. It is important that you understand that you must seize the moment if and when you can. It may not happen again."
"Of course." Papa's voice and face softened and for the first time, he smiled. It was raw with warmth and welcome, happiness and pure masculinity, male grace apparent in his movements as he stood back behind Momma. The Woman tilted her head and smiled at her son. "Good journey. And know that if you think of us, and think with intent, we will answer and help you in the way that we can."
Momma's hand was warm and soft around his. She nodded and stepped back, Papa's arms around her waist. Hewa moved to Jacob's side and murmured, "You sure that's all you want to ask?"
She closed her eyes and chanted something in Latin, and soon, they were standing in Hewa's bedroom with the sounds and smells of a meadow around them. "You just met our Divinity. What did you think?" Hewa started to collect supplies and put them in their proper places.
