Alex led Kevin to the door, glancing back at Victor one last time, "Я имею в виду его, выдержками," he muttered darkly, slamming the door shut behind them.

{"I mean it, *sshole."}
Kevin was pulling on his shirt with a sad look. How had Alex known he was there? How did they know each other? And... Why was he still madly in love with the Russian? He was sure Alex didn't like him any more, especially after that sight. He flinched at the thought of the bruises and bites on his body. He was ashamed now more than ever, and disgusted with how he looked. He refused to look in a mirror. Absolutely refused.
When they exited the apartment complex, Alex immediately turned and wrapped his arms around Kevin, muttering harshly in Russian, "I'm sorry," he said, switching back to English, "This is all my fault, Kevin. I'm sorry."

Kevin stayed quiet while pressing his face into his shirt. He could care less how many times he apologized. It was comforting enough just to lovingly be held. To smell that familiar, comforting scent he loved so much; it was indescribable. It was Alex's own unique scent that was there no matter what cologne he wore. And he preferred it over any cologne. It was just... An unexplained... Healer.
"Why did I do something like that? Глупый!" Alex held onto him a little tighter, closing his eyes. Perhaps it was just a selfish little part of him that drove this insane experiment. Maybe he wanted to feel jealous, wanted to know that he still loved Kevin fiercely. He wanted to know that Kevin loved him too, though this was never the way to get an answer.

Kevin seemed to grow tired as he wraped his arms around his neck and hugged him. "We're in a hallway."
"Don't..don't give that kind of reaction," The Russian begged, blinking his blue eyes quickly, "It's not a big deal.."
"Why are you /here/?" He hissed at him with a narrowed gaze and raised eyebrow. "Perhaps your parents sent you to the Institute to train against the invisible enemy as well, but... Why aren't you /there/?"
"My family...it had to drop off the Shadowhunter radar once they came into power. It was a necessity. But that doesn't erase it from our bloodline. So when they told me, I chose to go train," Alex explained, licking his lips.

Kevin remained silent for a moment. "...That still doesn't explain why you stayed. You're 19. Training ends when you're 18. Shouldn't you be, you know, /returning/?"
Alexsander glanced away from him, "I know I should but...I don't want to. I don't want to go back to that life. I'd much rather stay here, with you.."
Kevin walked over and slipped one arm loosely around the Russian's neck while his free hand carressed the taller's cheek. "Alex, you have to go back. It's all right. We're just... Different. That's no surprise."
