"Da," Alexsander nodded, "I am, actually. Water is fine."
Kevin nodded and got another glass out, filling it with water and ice before walking back out of the kitchen and heading over to Alex. He handed him the glass. "Here." He murmured.
The Russian smiled and murmured his thanks. He almost responded in Russian, out of habit, but corrected himself. He took a long sip of the icy water, "How come you live by yourself, Kevin?" he asked curiously.

Kevin stood by the sink and visibly swallowed in uneasiness when he was asked that. "I... I didn't, a while ago. There was a time when I... Lived with Eli." A guarded, wounded look was in his eyes. The steel cage around his heart was starting to build up again. "We bought it together, when we were just tweens. Our relatives had a lot of money, so we were wealthy kids. But... With the sweet comes the sour. We couldn't stay with them without wanting to... End it all. So we left. Stuck together."
Alexsander listened, silently sipping on his water. Obviously, this was something that was hard for him to talk about, so he didn't want to drill him too much. It was sort of the way he got when talking about his past with Terran or his brother.

Kevin inhaled a shaky breath. "But we made it through, more or less in tact, and we're here! So that's that!" He reached in the sink and plugged the drain, turning on the water and getting the basin filled in order to start washing dishes.
Kevin shrugged. "Only god knows. We talk every once in a while, but he always visits me. I never head over there. So I don't know where he lives or what he does for a living."
The Russian fell silent again, nodding. He traced a fingertip over the rim of the glass. Unanswered questions plagued his mind, but he reminded himself not to pry too much. Kevin always shut himself off that way.

"Ah, I should probably show you your room!" Kevin exited the kitchen with a gentle smile and walked to one of the rooms, opening the door to expose the same color scheme as the rest of the apartment. White sheets, light blue pillows, silver ornate metal bed frame, white dresser with silver mirror, light blue curtains...
Alex followed after him, setting the glass on the white dresser as he looked around, "It's a beautiful room, Kevin. Very light and spacious. Thank you," he glanced over at him, as if to say something else, but no words would come out.

He smiled at him before he got a divalicious dark look, walking over to the dresser and lickig up the glass. He rested a hand on his hip and glared at him. "Uh, chestnut?! No drinks without a coaster!" He opened a smaller dresser-looking type crystal box to show glass coasters with frosted edges and bottoms. He set it on the dresser and placed the cup on it. "There."
The corners of his lips tugged into a smile and Alex gave him the best innocent look he could muster, "Sorry." Using coasters wasn't new to him, since his mother would have his head if he ruined any of the palace tables, but he had honestly forgotten.

"Do it again and you don't get any o' /this/." Kevin gestured to himself before walking out with a strut.
Alex trailed his fingertips across the bedspread, admiring it slightly. The room was beautiful, that was undeniable, but it felt too...unused. Too pristine. There was nothing that looked like it was lived in. It lacked familiarity. What Alex wanted to see was Kevin's bedroom. And no, not because he was a big pervert or anything. He knew that he'd be able to see traces of Kevin in his room.
Glancing into the hallway, Alex moved on silent feet in search of the other male's bedroom.

Kevin was already too far gone in humming and flitting around the kitchen cooking.
His room was the same as the fuest bedroom, except for the colors were pink, orange, and white.

He cracked open the door and peeked inside. When the coast was clear, he crept inside and looked around. He felt just a little bit closer to Kevin this way.

Books sat on the windowseat, cds and a player sat on the dresser, and a multitude of photos ranging from Kevin and some blonde guy kissing to Kevin and an older woman hugging were placed on shelves, walls, and furniture.
