Leland glanced at Jessica with a smile. "Going to help me put the bed together when we get home?"

She nodded,"of course" she said with a smile.

He pulled into the store and found a parking spot. He reached into his pant's pocket and pulled out some cash. "Here. I'll stay here and watch what we have in the back."

She nodded,"I'll be but a moment, is there anything in particular you want?"

"Nope. I'm good." Leland shook his head.

She nodded and headed in.

Leland sat in the truck wondering what was in store for them next.

As she slid through the aisles she got horrible looks from people around her, everyone staring at either her eyes or the odd colors of her hair, considering her some sort of freak, but that just spurred her to move faster and get back to leeland who accepted her.

Leland leaned back in the driver's seat staring up at the ceiling of his truck. He closed his eyes, as he tried to think of how he'd react put into Jessica's shoes. He decided that she was taking it well...considering.

She hurried back to the car with the bags and put it in the back seat, getting in the front seat and sighing in relief.

Leland glanced at Jessica, confused. "Everything alright?" He asked, concerned.

She nodded with a smile, just excited for dinner" she said with a smile.

Leland smiled and started the truck. "And the bubble bath?" He added.

She nodded happily,"that too" she said happily.

Leland was glad to see her happy, as he started back towards the house.

She bit her lip wondering what life would hold for her now.

Leland had wondered as much earlier. "The only bathroom that is fully-functional is the one in the master bedroom. You can take your bath up there while I attend to dinner.

She nodded and gazed away, she was kind of hopingb that he wantes to take the bath with her but at the same time she understood they had both grown and might be uncomfortable with that now.

Leland moved into the kitchen and started dinner, unaware of her internal plight.

Jessica, being unused to warm water basked in it for as long as possible then slipped out reluctantly when it went cold. She drained thw water and wrapped herself in a towel that barely covered her necessities. She walked out with her soiled clothes, and out to him, her lthighs back and upper arms were roughly scarred and the bend of her elbows had numerous puncture wounds.
