The strange half-dimension resembled that of a cage. No matter which way one were to look, invisible bars blocked the freedom of movement, of decision. It was stifling, with no real way of existing.
No air.
No life.
No choice.
He was trapped here, floating in a vast space of nothing. He could see all, see earth and the curious creatures that roamed there. Those humans, with their sin and depravity, benevolence and kindness. They held a strange balance of good and evil. He watched them make their decisions everyday. They loved and lost, stole and killed. All of this, and they still remained the Chosen People of The Lord. Not His Lord, but the one above. He'd forsaken Him long ago.
He cocked his head as he observed these creatures called humans. He needed them, as they needed him. They could set him free, if only he were called upon.
