Blaze- A large, powerful palomino stallion, with dark, soulful eyes. His tail and mane are pure white, and his coat a glossy gold, he has four white socks, and light colored hooves. Blaze has a dark muzzle, and a white blaze down his face for which he was named. He has a relaxed, easy-going nature, which is odd for the leader of the herd, this does not mean he is not watchful, nor does he shirk his duties. Blaze has not sired any foals, as his luck with the mares is less than favorable, though he does have high hopes for his relationship with Star. Blaze allows Buck to stay because both stallions know who is fit to lead.
Star- A swift piebald paint mare, with striking blue eyes. Her mane is white, while her tail is brown, and her hooves are a steely gray. Her base coat is a warm chocolate brown, with large white patches, and brown spots over her powerful shoulders, back, and haunches. Star is a young mare, just over three years old, and has yet to foal. She joined Blaze not long ago, as her previous herd scattered after the only stallion was killed by a cougar. She is generally calm, and level-headed, but her experiences have taught her caution, making her more thoughtful on decisions and a lot less reckless than others her age. Star is flattered by the attention Blaze shows her, but she's not really interested.
Buck- A large palomino stallion, with big dark eyes. His tail and mane are white, while his muzzle and hooves are dark in color. His coat is a pale gold, with faintly visible light tan spots all over his body. He has a white star on his forehead. Buck is younger than both Blaze and Star, and just recently joined their herd. He was a loner, wandering the grassy plains. He has jagged scars on his shoulders and back from an attack by a cougar that he managed to kill with a powerful kick to the skull from his hind legs. The encounter has mentally scarred the young stallion, and has left him overly cautious and flighty.
