Indira steaked through the sky, her white and bronze patterned scales flashing in the dusk light. Her foreclaws were tucked elegantly against her chest as she stares down at the landscape beneath, the opan pendant around her throat glittering faintly.
She was searching for an herb an ancient dragoness had told her about, it was called End Root. She glances at the sample of the twisted red root she held already. Supposedly it grew near the active volcanoes at the end of the mountain range... What a wonderous plant. The Dragoness had showed her how it healed not only Scale Rot but also disinfected wounds and the such... It did almost everything an herb could do!
Indira glances up when she sees the dark glow of te volacanoes rise up before her, banking sharply to the North as she scans the molten landscape below for signs of the root... How could any life survive here?
The young dragoness lowers her altitude so she was no more than 15 meters above the bubbling lava, searching... Searching...

A pair of burning crimson eyes tracked the dragoness' flight as she neared the mountain, she was easy to spot against the dark, storming clouds filling the heavens above. He watched, curious as to what she was doing here, so close to his domain. No dragon dared venture here, not unless they had a death wish. What gave him pause was her beauty, at first, and then the carefree way she held herself. Almost as though she knew not of the dangers flying alone could pose. The massive black behemoth shifted, his ebony scales blending perfectly in the dark, rocky terrain of the active volcano, the bright rivulets of lava running between his scales in burning channels matching well with the ruddy amber glow of the slow moving rivers of magma oozing from fissures in the side of the mountains. Ragnarok waited, watching to see what the silvery-gold dragoness was here for. Perhaps she could be of use to him, alive.

Indira spots what looks to be a clump of burned out bushes on a small peninsula of a lava river. She circle thrice before landing lightly and gracefully next to the clump, it smelled the same as the End Root she carried.
Carefully, the young dragoness sighs upon the bushes.
Immediately the blackened brush twisted and flourished into a lush greenery that han't touched this land in millenia. She begins to dig into the soil, trying not to damage the roots. Her father would be so proud if she brought back seeds so they could grow them...

He watched, even more interested now that he had a glimpse of her abilities. He could certainly use healing magics. Waiting until she was fully distracted, Ragnarok shifted, taking to the air in silence, seemingly impossible for a dragon of his immense bulk. Circling high overhead, his dark scales concealed by the equally dark clouds. He waited for a moment, before swooping down, and breathing a noxious gas over her, causing her to briefly fall into a deep slumber. Carefully, he lifted the much smaller dragoness in his front paws, careful not to pierce her with his deadly talons, he flapped his ebony wings once, twice, before turning back and digging the whole plant out of the rock, roots and all, and winged his way back to the cavern of his lair. He set her down gently, the bush in the corner of the cave he set her in, and posted a guard at the entrance with orders to send word when she awoke.

Indira only felt incredibly tired and collapsed, the roots falling from her paws as the heat began to eat up the bushes again...
-TIME . SKIP-
Indira awoke in an unfamiliar cave, at first this wasn't alarming util she felt the horrible heat... It began to make her scared... Ice... There should be ice... She forces herself up and looks around, backing slowly into a corner as she took in her surroundings and laid close to the ground as if hoping to disappear... She'd never seen such a place before...

The dark green dragon posted as a guard scented her fear, and heard her rustling. He left to find Ragnarok immidiately, informing him that the little dragoness had awoken. Ragnarok nodded to the dragon, and headed towards the cave, each step he took shaking the ground beneath him with his great weight. He reached the cave in a matter of minutes, and slid his massive head in as far as it could go, just barely fitting through the enterence. "Come, little dragoness. Step into the light, so we may talk freely." His voice was everything his appearance was not. Smooth, rich, silky, his voice was a deep baritone, but it was not pure bass. It was not overly loud, but not soft either. He had the voice of a practiced politician. Sliding his head back out, he waited for her, laying down as to not intimidate her, his long ebony tail curling around his form, the barbed tip coming to rest between his forelegs.
(Okay, so say you are six feet tall, his smallest talon is longer than you are tall, just to give you a sort of size reference to just how BIG he is.)

She shrinks back more due to his sheer size,"... Can I go home?" The little dragoness asks in a quavering voices, staring up at him with wide, frightened eyes. Her wings were tucked close against her body as if protecting her somehow
(8I I know his picture is a dragon from a game... I can't remember what game though!
*cough* it's gonna be a struggle if they try having hatchlings xDDDDDDD)

(Its Deathwing, from World of Warcraft, and my friends Dragoness, Elsharra, is actually Alexstraza the Life-Binder. That won't be till she's much older, >.<)
Ragnarok could smell her fear, "No need to be frightened, little one," He crooned, "You're safe here." He settled lower to the cave floor, hoping to set her at ease by making himself appear smaller. "All things in due time, my dear. If you help me, then I will help you, do you understand?" He asked gently, a dark look passed in his eyes for a fleeting moment, quickly replaced by convincingly false sincerity.

Alas, Indira spotted the darkness and immediately felt alarm flare up inside her chest," Wh-why can't I do home?" She whines, flinching and not looking directly at him when she felt him staring at her.
The opal pendant glittered faintly.. It looked somewhat familiar...

Ragnarok caught sight of the pendant, recognizing it almost immediately. 'So, she had a daughter, eh? Her magic was powerful, no telling what her daughter could be capable of.' He thought to himself while he ignored her question, "My name is Ragnarok, and I used to rule this planet, little dragon, until it was taken from me." He sighed as though it was a terribly heavy burden, "All I want," He turned his crimson gaze back to her, "Is to rule once again." He finished, looking at her carefully.

Indira pauses and tilts her head curiously," Wh-why aren't you ruling any more...?" She asks, suddenly looking sympathetic when he shows that 'sadness'

"I was forced to abdicate my throne, and thrown into this pit." He explained, sinking his great head closer to the ground, his eyes nearly level with hers. "A group of dragons usurped my throne, they were jealous, you see. They wanted to rule, and so they plotted together to steal it from me. They knew they couldn't take it from me alone, I am too powerful for that. So they banded together, and took what was not theirs." His voice raised in pitch, sounded pitiful and anguished, as though it caused him great emotional distress to even think about what happened.

Indira, innocent to even lies, warily creeps out of the shadows, still keeping low as if ready to scurry away if she had to,"... Oh... I-i'm sorry," she cooes quietly, tilting her head even more sympathetically. Her elegant tail swishes from side to side," But... What does this have to do with me...?"

"I need your help, little one." He replied, "You have very unique gifts, I would like to show you how to harness those talents, to make you stronger than you ever thought possible." He thought for a moment, choosing his words carefully, like the politician he was. "Think of all the lives you could help if you developed that life-giving power of yours."

Indira pauses, shuffling her wings as she hazes down are her foreclaws,"... I don't need more power.. I just need the End Roots and their seeds... Then I need to go home.." She seems to shudder under his gaze even though she couldn't understand why she feared him... His size? Maybe. His... Face? Probably. No... It was just the way he looked at her like he knew her better than she didn

Ragnarok shifted, his scales scraping against the rock with the sounds of metal grinding against stone. "End Root? And what would a little dragoness like you want with the End Root?" He asked, suddenly growing more interested in her, his crimson gaze burning into her like wildfire.

" I've seen it heal ailments that a hundred different other erbs would barely be able to effect... I just need seeds... I just need to go home..." She whines, flinching away from the fantastic noise

He snorted, twin black plumes of smoke jetting from his nostrils. "You don't need herbs, little one. Your power can heal better than any herb." Ragnarok chuckled deep in his throat, "Or, did you mean to bring it back for others to use?" He paused for effect, leaning in closer to her, "You came onto my land, to take a plant that grew from my soil, all without my permission. That's stealing, you know." A wicked grin split his fearsome maw, showing ivory fangs longer than she was tall. "I could have you locked in here forever for that crime, but instead, I show you hospitality, and even offer you a modicum of freedom. If you refuse, you will waste away in that cell, forever."

He nodded to the green male hovering not far behind Indira, before heaving his incredible bulk to his feet. "This is your home now." He rumbled as he strode away, laughing darkly as he went.
Elvaran quickly crowded Indira against the wall, stretching his wings out and herding her back into the small cave. "Most dragons die before they make it to their cell, the few that do, die within hours. Be grateful you still have your life." The emerald dragon growled, menace in his eyes and dripping from his voice.
