The demon crossed his arms and smirked, leaning against the doorway, "Not quite."

She clenched her jaw and her body shuddered with fear.

"Demons have a different concept of fun," he mused, moving toward her on the bed.

She shrunk back, wiggling further away from him, wings fluttering.

Cain's hand flashed out and grabbed her ankle, pulling her back to him.

She screeched and immediately kicked out at him, managing to clip his jaw.

Cain's head snapped to the side and he chuckled lowly, "Now why'd you have to go and do that?" he hummed, long nails suddenly sinking into the skin of her calf.

A scream ripped from her throat, and her head dropped back in pain, her body going rigid, her wings snapped out and engulfed both of them, simply because Cain was to close to her to just protect her.

He chuckled and pinned her down by the neck with his free hand, "You just made this harder for yourself."

She was breathing hard now and she shut her eyes tightly, trying to block him out.

Her eyes opened and she stared at him, breathing through choked gasps.

Impulse told her to slap him, spit at him, anything! But she forced herself to be still.

He patted her cheek roughly, "You do need to be punished, however."

She clinched her jaw and flinched from his touch, grinding her teeth together. 'Don't make it worse Amity,' she told herself fiercely.
