Phoenix's brow furrowed, "You're not a jerk, Leo." Her fingers curled against his cheek.

"If I'm not now, I used to be," he said.

Phoenix stepped close enough for them to feel the body heat radiating off one another, "But you're not now, Leo. I can see that you're not."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo stared into her eyes, captivated by them even in the almost non-existent light. He didn't know what to say.

She leaned up and brushed her lips over his, stroking her thumb over his cheekbone, "You're not a bad guy, Leo. I know you aren't."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo held his breath. The brush of her lips was like a siren's call, sweet and tempting and dangerous. And he was a sailor about to dash himself against the shore. He reached out and placed a hand on the side of her neck. "You really believe that?"

Phoenix nodded, her nose brushing against his softly, "I really do believe that. I do."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"I'm not so sure, but I do believe one thing," he said.

"And what's that?" Phoenix asked, looking at him seriously.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"I'm in love with you, Phoenix Holiday." He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. Not a light brush, not a desperate hungry kiss. Just slow, deep, and passionate, the kind that gives you chills and leaves a burning in your stomach at the same time.

Her hand slid to the back of his neck, anchoring herself there, as Phoenix leaned up on her tip toes. She reciprocated the kiss, her heart thumping loudly in her chest.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo pushed the door to her room open all the way and backed her through it. He stopped just in front of the bed and broke the kiss, meeting her eyes questioningly.

Phoenix nodded quickly, bracing one hand on the bed behind her as she crawled back, giving Leo room.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo knelt on the bed in front of her. "Are you sure?" he whispered.

"I've never been more sure of anything," She looked at him, really looked at him, her eyes wide and earnest.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo nodded slowly and then placed his hand on her shoulder, pressing her back against the bed. He lowered himself over her and brought his lips to hers again.

Phoenix reached up and ran her fingers through his hair, pushing just her top half up by her elbow.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo blindly found the hem of her shirt and pushed it up by running his hand up her side. He didn't do anything else, just touched her skin. If this was going to happen only once, he was going to do it right. Take his time.

Goosebumps rose on her skin and Phoenix shivered. She brushed her lips over his cheekbone, his name a soft murmur on her lips.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Leo sucked in a breath and bent his head down to kiss her neck. His hands slid up the back of her shirt, running over her skin.
