Marnie watched her go, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Reagan was so nice- it was surprising to her. Marnie wasn't used to nice.

Reagan stood in line at the food cart. She hadn't expected today to go the way it had. She wasn't usually this inviting, in fact she usually pushed people way. She was a loner, going from one group of people to another without letting anyone get too close, yet for some reason she wanted Marnie to get to know her.

She ordered a veggie dog for Marnie and a hot dog with everything on it for herself, as well as a water and a soft drink, before heading back towards the tree.

Marnie was playing with the grass next to he blanket, the blades curling up around her fingers like they wanted to be petted.

[Anime]

"I didn't know what you took on your veggie dog, so I brought some of the condiments with me." She passed the tray to Marnie. "I also didn't know if you preferred water or soda, so I got both."

Marnie looked up and smiled as Reagan sat down, "Water is good, thank you. And I like mustard and relish."

[Anime]

"Well, I got both of those, so you're in luck." Reagan passed her the container of relish, packets of mustard, and the bottle of water. She sat back down, placed the napkins in between them, and cracked open her soda.

She squeezed the mustard and relish onto her food and took a big bite, "Mmm.."

[Anime]

"So how is it? I've never tried their veggie dogs before." Reagan asked before she took a bite of her own food.

"Do you want a bite?" Marnie smiled, offering it to her.

[Anime]

"Maybe. Are you sure?" Reagan answered.

[нαℓƒ~мσση]

"Yeah, take a bite, It's no big deal," Marnie chuckled, "I'm not a germaphobe."

[Anime]

"Alright." Reagan reached for the veggie dog.

Marnie handed it to her and sipped at her water. She watched Reagan's face, looking for her reaction.

[Anime]

Reagan took a bite. It wasn't what she expected, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. However, she found her regular hot dog to be a better choice, yet she could admit that as an alternative it wasn't half-bad.

"What do you think?" Marnie chuckled, tilting her head.

[Anime]

"Not bad." Reagan admitted.

She chuckled, "It's different if you aren't used to it, but I've always liked it."

[Anime]

"How long have you been a vegetarian?" Reagan wondered.

[нαℓƒ~мσση]

"All my life," Marnie smiled as she took a bite of the veggie dog, "My parents raised me that way."

[Anime]

"Interesting." Reagan thought about it for a moment, while she polished off her hot dog and downed the last bite with a gulp of her soda.
