As Reagan talked to Marnie and listened to Marnie talk, her facade of calmness started give way to an actual calmness. Her body was less tense and her attention not as divided. "No, crude is rarely ever attractive--if it was than this whole courtship and dating thing would be a lot less necessary..." She decided.
"A lot more people these days aren't that concerned with dating," Marnie almost said "humans". She found it odd how the humans were developing a lack of care for one another in intellectual and emotional ways.
"And not just in the form of significant others." She thought of her pack, her (fire) house, and her family. She wondered what she would have done without them, especially in the events leading up to her brother's death, her brother's death, and the fallout from it. If things had gone another way, she might have had to figure out how to stumble through this world alone, but alas she was one of the fortunate few. "I don't what I'd do without the support of those close to me."
Marnie tilted her head and reached over, touching Reagan's hand gently. Fae weren't very family oriented, but that didn't mean she couldn't sympathize, "Your family is very supportive?"
Reagan nods, taking a drink of her soda. "Very." She grinned. "They've been there for me no matter what--even when I didn't think I need them or when I didn't want them there. It would seems that they know me better than I know myself, sometimes. Always saying, they do it out of love." She paused for a minute. "...It's amazing what love is capable of."
"I don't see what other possible motive they would want to help me at...certain points in my life." Reagan's expression and demeanor not changing with the objection. She just seemed genuinely happy to have the conversation. "Family doesn't have to support you. Family doesn't have to be there. That said, blood isn't the answer. It has to be something. Why not love?" She asked.
"With as much time and enough goes into plant care... I will accept plants as an answer..." Reagan said, dead-serious about her answer. "Let's not forget that my inability to take care of plants is what allowed up to meet in the first place..." She reminded her--most likely unnecessarily. "However, I have to ask if my husky is going to be a problem... Because that is my only deal-breaker..."
"I think I would be the bigger concern in regards to your plants..." Reagan said sheepishly. "However, I think I am slightly more obedient, so you can yell at me and I'll stop..."
