"I'm glad." Reagan's glanced momentarily at Marnie's lips before returning her gaze to her eyes. "What would you say to spending time together outside of your flower shop?"
Marnie turned and flitted to the back. She grabbed her purse and thin jacket, slinging both over one arm. After tidying things up and setting the sprinkler in the greenhouse, she came back to the front, "Okay, let's go."
"When I'm not working, I spend the majority of my time there." Reagan pushed a stray lock of her long, coal-black hair out of her face. "There is always something to do: baseball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee... I can take Kojak, my husky, for a walk... There is the reservoir..." She rambled. "It's always lively there."
Marnie listened to her talk and she smiled softly, "Yeah, it's the perfect place to go if you're bored or just want to relax. I like sitting under the trees. I bring my notepad and sketch whatever I see. There's always something to draw there."
"Usually I only draw different aspects of nature. Flowers, trees, scenery," Marnie shrugged, "But I've started dabbling in drawing animals and people."
"That's cool." Reagan's interest seemed genuine. "I always find the process that artist go through to be amazing, namely, because I am incapable of drawing a circle without screwing it up."
