Clare Edwards (Genesis; The Refuge)
A stunning 16 year old girl girl with sleek black hair and dark blue eyes. In highschool, she was flirtatious and loved to hang around with boys. She was the "popular girl" at her school, who had dated all the jocks. She used to act like a typical girly girl teenager, with her makeup and designer clothes, but since she met Conner she's changed. She realized there's a bit more to life than wonder what you're going to wear to the next party. Just about the only thing about her old personality that she's retained is her bad-a** attitude. Clare isn't afraid of anything, or at least she tries to act that way. She was never above kneeing some guy in the groin if he pissed her off, and still isn't. Her full name is Clarissa. Her power is to enhance emotions, whether make them lesser or more. She can't change what you feel, only how strongly you feel about it. She was Conner's girlfriend and she loved him more than anyone else in the world. She thought she can help him with the pain he felt for Jessi. She didn't know about the "stuff" going on between Conner and Jessi, and when he told her she was broken up. Not in a depressed, lie in bed all day kind of way, but in a pissed off kind of way. She'll never admit it because she's too proud for that, but she feels like Conner changed her life. Before him, she was just another b***** girl with an attitude problem. She was normal, or at least trying desperately to pretend she was. It wasn't until she met him that she realized she didn't want to be normal. Maybe sometimes she even felt he was her whole life, but she didn't want him to be. She didn't want to be one of those clingy girlfriends. She isn't sure where she stands now they they're not together. She doesn't know how she feels about him, or Jessi. Right now, though, one thing's for certain: she won't be the sucker type to just stay friends with the ex. Especially not when she's still in love with him. She never told her parents she was a mutant, but Mutant Control informed them after she went missing. She isn't sure she'll ever be able to go back home now. When Leonardo found out Mutant Control was looking for her, he came and 'rescued' her--though it was really more like a kidknapping--and brought her to the Refuge. Since then she's been bugging him to train her to become a guard.
Adriane Ciel (High School; Eastside Freshman)
How could life get much more perfect? She's a beautiful model, a famous actress. She has everything a girl could want: money, fame, and boys. "Il ne suffit pas." It's not enough. There are more things in life than money, fame, and fortune. What about a family? She doesn't have one. Her mother died when she was little, her older brother died in a car crash when she was 10. It's just her and her father now. What about friends? She doesn't have any. Not REAL ones at least. Her 'friends' are the people who hang around as long as being with you makes them popular. Adriane certinaly has that--popularity. She doesn't care about that, either. She's not HAPPY. But only her father knows that. At school, she acts like the happiest person on the planet. She talks with her friends, she does her work. Then, right after school, she goes to her modeling shoots or her acting jobs. She stars in a TV show and has roled in various movies. You might think that that kind of life is all expensive clothes and big houses, but there's only one reason she does what she does: it pays well. Her father and her actually need the money. She lives in an average house in an average neighborhood. She brings in all the money to the household; her father is unemployed. She works her butt of night and day to make sure they can live under a roof. It's hard to do this and still keep her grades up in school. Things were better when she lived in France. She was born in Paris and moved to California when she was 12 years old. Two years after her brother died. see, they couldn't afford to live in Paris anymore, and they had relatives in LA. They helped her and her father get back on their feet, until they moved to New York and just abandoned them. Two days later, her father lost his job. He's been trying to find a new one since. The problem is that her father was a mechanic, but after his hand got smashed in a machine, he's been out of the job and he has no experience in any other area. So this is her life now. She's 15 years old and has no time for 'fun.'
Kiba Sasake (Naruto; Rogue Sand Shinobi)
The Wolf Master. That's what this Sannin is known as by most people. The 26 year old man doesn't look very imposing, but he's as dangerous of a shinobi who ever lived. Kiba is called "the Wolf Master" for a reason. He can summon a pack of huge wolves. It's his famous ninjutsu, but he's also talent with genjutsu and taijustsu. Especially taijutsu. Kiba loves close-combat battles. There's a ferocious blood-thirsty wolf living in his heart. He was born and rased in Sunagakure. He was the most promising Academy Student, a talented genin, the rookie to beat in the chunin exams. He passed the exams his first try, becoming chunin in a matter of weeks. He was only 16. Then he was jonin at 19. Kiba was going to become the jewel of the Sand Village, but then he deserted. No one quite knows why he did it. There didn't seem to be a reason for him running off. Everything seemed fine and peachy. One day he was everyone's favorite shinobi, the next he had vanished. He's been on his own ever since. Trackers from the Sand Village have been tracking him for six years, and they aren't likely to find him anytime soon. Ever if they did, they'd be unlikely to bring him down. He's Sannin, remember? Theoretically, only another Sannin could be a match for him, let alone beat him. As far as his personality goes, Kiba is quiet and doesn't draw attention to himself. That's hard when you're as handsome as he is, but he manages it. He isn't easily angered, and keeps a level-head no matter what. He learned from an early age to mask his emotions. Sometimes, he isn't sure himself whether he's just covering them up, or if his feelings are gone all together. Sometimes that frightens him--that he might be dead inside.
Akio Hozuki
A quiet, mysterious 15 year old boy with black hair streaked with white in the front and dark, unfathomable eyes. He has been schooled from an early age to show no emotion. Also known as "Misuto no Ryu," or Dragon of the Mist, Akio is infamous. As one of the ANBU, he was specifically chosen by his kage to be a part of special, dangerous missions. He is highly skilled with senbon and knows every pressure point of the body, able to hit them with the needles or in hand-to-hand battles. Honestly, Akio is highly skilled with just about everything. So much that he's been named sannin, despite the fact that he's so young and seemingly innocent. Few people know of his true abilities. It's very easy to underestimate him... it's also a huge mistake. He takes you down quickly, without wasted chatter.
