In the summer heat, a man was hard at work on the roof of a local coffee shop. His shirt sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, showing off strong arms. A pair of jeans fit snugly, but not too much so, on his hips and he wore heavy boots. A hard hat and clear goggles protected him from any mistake in work.
He was sweating bullets, and no wonder because of how hot it was. He sat up on his knees and took a swig of water, wiping a trickle of sweat that worked its way down his face. Summertime work was bad, but he couldn't decide if it was worse than freezing in the winter.
He continued to work on the roof for another hour, before his shift ended for that day. The sun was lower in the sky now, hot, but not sweltering like earlier.
