Lane climbed with the flashlight in between his teeth and the paper in one hand. He pushed into the secret room.

Jaxx was sitting on the floor just in front of the pentagram containing the succubus. The succubus herself had not moved since Lane first saw her, staying in the same position and remaining 'asleep'. Jaxx glanced back when Lane entered and hopped to his feet , hurrying over.

Lane walked over, using the flashlight to read the paper, "Okay, it has me saying some kind of ritual chant. It's supposed to make the candles go out."

Jaxx nodded and stood behind Lane. "I stay here. Don't want to interrupt. When barrier down though, let Jaxx talk to mistress. She gonna be hungry." Jaxx said cryptically, but said no more as he sat down

Lane sat down in front of the barrier and took a deep breath. He started repeating the words off the paper in a steady, calm voice.

At first, it seemed nothing was happening. The candles in the room continued to burn normally. How were, as he continued, they began to flicker a little more as the shadows along the floor began to grow with no sign of any of the flames getting bigger. Also as he chanted, the candles creating the pentagram very slowly started to turn green, starting with the wax closest to the flame and spreading downward to recolor the whole candle

Lane looked apprehensive, but continued his chant, focusing on the suucubus.

As he continued, all the light from the other candles that were not in the pentagram faded until the only light was from the now green candles as the flame itself began to turn green as well. The shadows elongated and stretched crazily along the floor as the flames began to dance erratically and red veins started to appear on what must've been the barrier, coloring the invisible ward and revealing it to Lane.

Slowly, like the candles, the veins began to grow green, starting up from the floor, until they reached the very top. When they finally did, suddenly the runes seemed to vibrate. In fact, the whole room seemed to shake as suddenly all the green candles and veined barrier changed from green to yellow to red again before the candle flames blew out and the barrier literally shattered, releasing a miniature tempest that threw Lane back against the opposing wall.

Jaxx, who had been behind Lane, had been knocked back with Lane as the room was covered in darkness. Jaxx squirmed his way out from under Lane and scurried forward as the other candles that were, miraculously, still lit began to give off some light again slowly. "Mistress!" Jaxx cried as he hurried towards the bed

Lane quickly regained his senses from the shock of it all and got to his feet. He scrambled up to his feet and peered across the room to Jaxx and the suucubus.

As the room brightened, he could see that the succubus was now starting to move and stretch as she gradually awoke. Jaxx had hopped onto the bed and was at her side as she turned towards the little Imp.

"Jaxx?"

Never was there such a melodious and beautiful voice that Lane had ever heard. It was literally the embodiment of sultry and alluring, and made Lane want to just curl up at the girl's feet. Jaxx looked down at her and have the naked beauty a hug.

"Mistress! Was so worried! All alone!" He sobbed, tears actually making their way out from behind that skull. The succubus, who was still laying down, hugged Jaxx back with a small giggle.

"Thank you, my brave Jaxx. It's alright now. But that barrier prevented any demon from entering or exiting. How did you..."

Lane's blue eyes were wide and he didn't move from him spot. He barely even made a sound either, just stood with the piece of paper clutched in his hands.

Finally the succubus sat up, and Lane got his first look at the succubus' awake face.

She. Was. Gorgeous.

It was no wonder she wasn't human. No human could be so breathtaking. She had been beautiful when sleeping, but now- with those violet colored eyes of hers staring right into Lane's- it was like he was about to melt. He knees instantly felt weak, and if he didn't watch himself, he'd fall ungracefully onto his butt.

Lane wasn't the only surprised one though, the succubus' eyes widened in shock as well. Jaxx looked over at Lane and sniffed. "Tallsy helped!" He chirped, smiling as he wiped his skull fear of tears

He couldn't believe that he was actually looking at a real, live demon. He never expected one with such beauty, because demons were depicted as terrifying creatures. He took a step back and crumpled the piece of paper in his hands.

The girl's violet colored eyes (changed em XD) narrowed slightly as she shifted to face Lane more, a sly smile growing on her face. Jaxx looked up at her and suddenly yipped. "Oh wait! Mistress!" He said, but before Jaxx could say anything, she moved.

In a blur Lane couldn't even follow, he was suddenly slammed against the wall he had just hit, hands grabbing his wrists and keeping them to either side of his head as suddenly lips crushed against his own hungrily and almost desperately. As the succubus kissed him, it felt like tiny sparks of pleasure were suddenly dancing under his skin. It didn't help that her naked body was pressed flush against his. Cloths didn't seem to even help spot the sensations suddenly rampaging through him. So this was what a succubus' powers were like!

Lane's body froze up in surprise. He wasn't used to being treated this way and it utterly shocked him. The feelings were new too, maybe because he'd never looked at women that way. Ever.
