A beautiful mare grazed alone between two hills, her herd had all been captured and she was all alone, she had no idea what was to become of her or how she would survive without a herd, but right now all she cared about was filling her empty stomach.

She was a beautiful warm blood with a black coat and white stockings on each leg as well as a white blaze on her face. She had a long mane and tail that were thick and well groomed by herself.

Hearing something she lifted her head and looked around, and spotting a few calvary horses with riders she whinnied and darted off, her legs moving swiftly over the grass with them behind her. Her strong legs pushed her with ease and them being weighted by a rider gave her an advantage, but she didn't know this area well, and as soon as she turned into a canyon, she was lost. The rocks surrounding her confused her and the next time she turned, she turned right into a dead end.

The cowboys smirked and readied their ropes. She panicked, looking back and forth for a way out, but the only way out was through them and she didnt know if that would work.

Whinnies and bellows sounded nearby, and a whole herd thundered through the canyon. The stallion at the head of them threw back his head and let out a thunderous whinny. A few of the cavalrymen shouted and fled, with only a few remaining behind.

She stayed quiet, gazing from calvary man to calvary man, and when a rope was pulled around her she tugged at it, swinging her head back and whinnying in terror. She reared and shot out her front legs, but just as she did the other calvary man wrapped his rope around one of her front shackles and tripped her to the ground, the last of the remaining men snapped his whip at the on coming herd in hopes they would grow frightened and leave.

The herd split around the men and the mare, thundering by on either side of them, just barely fitting through the narrow space. Once they had all darted off Krasota backed away from the unfamiliar herd, bowing her head quickly in thanks before turning to leave. She didn't know if she could trust this herd or if hey merely wanted something from her, after all she was one of the only free warmbloods in america.
