"Because... The pain is starting to go away," the scab crackles as he tries to straighten up, "Resting is good for me,"

The girl hangs onto him, shifting away at last," O-oh..." She pauses as she sits there in the freezing water, her white undershirt swaying faintly around her legs. She looks at her lap, looking nervous,"... Uhm... Do you want to stay in my home until... You get better?"

He stays silent for a moment before slowly nodding, "That would be... Good," he agrees, his forehead creasing in thought.

The girl seems to brighten before standing and holding her hands out to help him up, seeming completely unfazed by being basically half naked in front of a stranger," Come on, Need to get my tunic back on or my papa'll think I was teasing the studs," she chirps

He accepts her help in standing up, and wobbles as he balances on his feet in the shallow water. Just the thought of her father made him weak... "Yeah--wouldn't want him to misunderstand,"

The girl smiles and takes his hand, leading him along the bank upriver to the boulder," You'll be able to see my Coming of Age ceremony too, will you come and watch? i bet you'd like it!"

"Coming... of Age?" he echoes; it would be best to go along with what she asked of him, he didn't want to end back up in the river... "Sure, if I won't be in the way,"

" No, it's super fun with singing and dancing and so on," she smiles as she leaps up the boulder and slides the soft yellow dress over her head, tying her belt around her waist. She picks up the hide

The boy picks up his wet clothes and wrings them out before sticking them back on. "That... might be nice to watch," his tone hints at interest in the activities, his cerulean eyes still red around the edges.

The gurl reaches out and pushes the wet hair from his face, smiling and walking past," It is, i'll teach you how to dance... But... What's your name?"

"Ah... I uh, don't have one--a name." he answers with a shake of his head. He hides the necklace under his shirt, and wriggles his nose at the thought of him dancing--the action didn't seem to fit...

The girl tilts her head, sartingto walk into the lush forest toward the smell of honey and pollen," Well... My name is N'Reak," she begins to walk backward and looks at him with her bright, strange eyes," I'm gonna call you No Name,"

"Alright," he slowly agrees; he wasn't gonna complain. He takes a shaky step forward, and starts to walk. "that's fine,"

N'Reak pauses before walking beside him, taking his hand," How come you can't remember memories?" She asks, squeezing his hand

"I don't know," he tugs his collar of his shirt over his neck, "Must have... hit my head in the river or something."

She stares at his head as if trying to locate some kind of bruise before sighing and muttering," You're clearly an outsider though... So i dunno..."

"A-ahm... but I... don't even know where I came from," he lets his hand drop, and his eyes focus on something else, "I'm pretty... helpless right now, so, even if I could, I wouldn't be do anything bad."

She smiles and pinches his cheek riefly," I believe you, just don't flip out over our traditions, my papa is very touchy about our beliefs." N'Reak tilts her head

"I... I'll try...?" his eyes widen a bit, but he nods his head obediently. His shoulders slump a little--he felt like he was being treated like a child...
