Rylan nodded. "I will see you later," he said. "Have fun... I guess."

She chuckled and then went back to change into her work clothes. From there, she began polishing the floors.

Rylan went about his daily business: aka political stuff. He hated being a high lord, but it was his position, and he had to deal with it.

Not much happened to Wren, but she cleaned all day.

The man looked at the palace, fury in his eyes. It was time to attack.

"Ready, boss?" the man beside him asked. "What's the plan?"

"We'll sneak in through the kitchens. You lot will cause a distraction while I go and find our good ruler."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

The man grinned and nodded. "That I can do. I think the men will thoroughly enjoy this."

He smiled cruelly. "Then go do what you do best."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

The man turned and waved silently at the men gathered behind them. There were five of them, enough to cause trouble but few enough to make a sneaky entrance. They moved forward, heading toward the kitchen entrance.

The leader followed behind, ready to find Rylan and attempt to kill him.

The kitchens were empty that time of night, but there were guards standing in their path into the palace. They took them out easily and nearly silently before moving on. From there, they split up into groups of twos, off to wreak havoc however they may.

The leader rushed up to the upstairs area.

The men found the servants' quarters first. They waved their knives and other weapons and grinned wickedly, aiming for a loud reaction. The screaming started, signaling the guards downstairs.
