Peter finally stood slowly and stretched. "I should be going," he said rather regretfully.

She again didn't move nor speak.

Peter nodded tightly and pressed his lips together. "Goodbye," he said, walking off.

She let out a soft almost pain whisper but she turned away and forced herself to stay quiet.

Peter walked back to the ground floor and then upstairs up to the wall. There, he took up a patrol, looking down on the city marketplace.

She stayed silent and fearing that the petty food they gave her would her sick, she pulled out the food he gave her and ate a little of what she had, determined to make it last as long as she could.

An inmate in the cell next to hers gazed at her longingly but didn't do anything.

She looked over at him sadly and passed him what she had left, the guard seeing her as she did.

The guard barely reacted, knowing that Peter had given it to her and that he couldn't override his wishes- the guard was simply a guard and Peter was a knight so he had no say on what the knight did. The man beside her took only a little and gobbled it up swiftly, acting as though he would never eat again. "Thank you," he said, his accent thick, foreign, and unfamiliar to the ear.

She gazed at him in sadness, "where are you from sir?" She asked politely.

He seemed to take a few seconds to think about how to respond. "I-- am from Zalbania, to thee noth," he said, meaning the north.

She nodded, understanding his accent well,"how did you wind up here?" She asked knowing he probably knew her reasons.

The man's face burned red. "I vas steealing a lof of breat beecause I vas hungry. They caught me, dough," he said, clearly struggling with the language.

She nodded, "why did you come to this city?" She asked curiously.

He shook his head. "I vill not speak of zat, madam. I am sorry."

She nodded,"I understand completely, I'm sorry" she said happily.

He nodded. "Eet is fine," he said.

She nodded and curled up again.

"My name is Cyran," he said quietly.

She gazed at him again,"My name is Mira" she said softly, pulling her gaze away again.
