Ari stopped in the middle of an abandoned field, collapsing with exhaustion. She pulls out the piece of bread and pulls it apart, chewing on it slowly. She hears a whine and looks around, seeing a skinny black puppy and pauses, holding out a small peice of bread. The puppy snatches it from her fingers and retreats, making her smile

"Gah, should've known you would've given a puppy that," a voice came from behind her. Elizah stood there, his chest rising and falling from worrying that just walking would make him miss catching up to her. He wiped his forehead with the back of his hands. "You're just the person I wanted to see," he continued, letting out a soft sigh.

" i thought you'd let me go," she murmurs looking back at him, the black puppy comes out and licks her hand, making her giggle as she scoops up the small wiggling animal

"Well apparently you're quite important for my mission," he replied just as lightly, crossing his hands over his chest. "So listen, I need you to come along with me, no fighting back, got it?"

" Why should I..? I just don't wanna... I dunno die... Like everyone rlse," she mutters, hugging the dog gently as it wiggles and barks happily

He pinched the bridge of his nose, silently counting back from ten. "Listen, I just need to bring you to the Lady. Nothing bad will happen to you, she just wants to see you or something... It's probably some royal business or something."

" Jeez, whatta weird Lady," she mumbles and stand sup again, pausing before holding out a bit of bread to him," Hungry?" The puppy whines and tries to snap the bread up

He raised an eyebrow, as if surprised by her sudden acceptance. He hesitantly grabbed the bread and took a bite out of it. Grunting a thanks, he threw her his scarf. "It's going to get cold later, don't want you getting too cold before you get to see the Lady, I'd doubt she wants you sneezing around her place," he muttered, already turning around and heading off.

She raps the scarf around the black puppy, cradling it like a baby before hugging the puppy beneath her cloak," So are you ever gonna tell me your name?" She asks softly

"Doubt it. You don't need to know my name, it doesn't concern you," he called back, not even bothering to turn his head to glance at her.

" Please? We can reintroduce each other and have fun or something even if you did kinda threaten to w**** me around..." (XD)

[mationix]

"Like I said, it doesn't concern you. I hardly care about your name, so don't feel like you need to tell me that," came his cold reply.

"... ok, but ig you son't tell me your name, i'll name you myself," she chirps, kissing the puppy's wet nose

[mationix]

He gave her a shrug. "Fine by me, I could really care less," he replied. "A name's just a name, anyways."

" I'll call you..." She tilts her head thoughtfully, the puppy licking her cheek happily and squirming,"... Crow," she kisses the puppy," You're a cute lil Crow huh?"

"You talking to me, or the dog you suddenly decided you wanted to bring along?" He called, frowning a bit. Awesome, one more mouth to feed.

" The dog, Crow," she nuzzles it's soft floppy ears as it yaps happily," You're... I dunno... I'm gonna call you Mad Man,"

He let out a snort. "I would've preferred Crow, but alright," he muttered, "Mad Man it is."

Ari just smiles and walks beside him, the puppy peeping out at him from its cocoon in Ari's cloak

"I do hope you know that you're going to be the one who's feeding that mutt, right? Cuz there's no way I'm willing to give it up to it," he continued, his eyes flickering warily around his surroundings. This was going well, a little bit too well...
