Andrew Chase wiped the sweat from his forehead and grabbed the towel from where it was draped over the fence. The day's training had been grueling, but at least it was over now. No more working his a** off, no more sucking up to his superiors. He was sick of it all. He was sick of this life. All he wanted was to get out of the Legion, do something else, but he was stuck there. Why? Because his damned father was a tribune in the Legion. And he did very much feel like damning his father to hell. Wasn't that where they were all going anyway? Straight to tell for the demon-diseased Malum.
He shook his head and dragged the towel across his face. He walked to the showers--which were co-gender, by the way--and stripped down. He didn't care about the girls in the shower. He'd been in the Legion for over ten years now. Boot camp was enough for him to get over modesty.
