October Club Suggestions

We haven't had any clubs made recently, which I think is okay, but I still want to give people the opportunity. I'm making a new rule, though. If a club was suggested last time (two months ago), you cannot suggest it again. You will have to wait two more months for the next time we do suggestions.

As always, please post your suggestion and a bit about it for the people who don't know anything about it.

Okay so, my suggestion for a club is World of Warcraft. It is a huge world built by Blizzard Entertainment, and has a lot of history, background, and lore. World of Warcraft is a MMORPG, meaning Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. At its peak, WoW boasted more than 12 million online players around the world. It has fallen somewhat since its November realease in 2004, and right now sits at around 7.7 million people playing.

There are 13 races:

Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Night Elf, Dranei, and Worgen, who belong to the Alliance;
Orc, Troll, Forsaken, Blood Elf, Tauren, and Goblin, who belong to the Horde.
Pandaren are a neutral party, though some take up the banners of either the Horde or the Alliance.

The Horde, led by their Warchief, Garrosh Hellscream, and the Alliance, led by King Varian Wyrnn, are bitter rivals, but they do work together on occasion to defeat the common threats, like the Scourge, an undead army bent on killing all living things, and the Burning Legion, an army of demons and warlocks trying to take over the world.

How would this play out as a club?

Both the Horde and Alliance have major battles against each other all the time, and there are missions to sabotage supply lines and other various things, as well as dealing with the common threats of beasts and other monsters attacking villages. There are also other races that are not a part of either the Horde, or the Alliance, that have to be dealt with. Also, along with the races, there are several different classes, each with unique abilities and talents that can change the way you play as that character. For example, Humans can be almost anything except Druids. Meaning they can be Warriors, Hunters, Rogues, Magi, Warlocks, Monks, Priests, Paladins, and Death Knights.

Its a lot more complicated, I'm not going as in depth as I could, that would take all day, >.<

But each person could pick a faction, meaning Horde, Alliance, or Pandaren, and then a race within that faction, and then a class specific to that race. Then they would decide whether they are an important General, or just a farmer, or an important mage, etc, and where they are in the world.

There are two continents, Kalimdor, where the Night Elves, Dranei, Goblins, Tauren, and Orcs and Trolls live, and the Eastern Kingdoms, where the Humans, Dwarves and Gnomes, Worgen, Undead, and Blood Elves live. There are several port cities, where ships travel between both continents, as well as zepplins that fly between the two. The world is very primitive, meaning no cars, or cell phones, or computers.

Each race has a capital city as well, Darnassus, a great tree rising up out of the ocean for the Night Elves, and more recently, the Worgen. The Exodar, a crashed space ship made of crystal and metal for the Dranei. Thunder Bluff, a tribal city on top of four pillars of rock for the Tauren. Orgrimmar is a large city, with wooden buildings covered in sharp metal spikes thanks to a complete redesign of the city after Garrosh gained power, for the Orcs, the Trolls, and the Goblins. There's the Undercity, built from the sewer systems underneath the ruins of the old fortress of Lordaeron for the Undead, also known as the Forsaken. There is Silvermoon, a sparkling golden city of stone, with tall spires for the Blood Elves, and Ironforge, a city built into an active volcano for the Dwarves and the Gnomes. Stormwind is the capitol for the Humans, its a huge stone fortress, recently being rebuilt due to an attack by Deathwing, a massive black Dragon bent on destroying the world.

There's also Outland, which is another planet, where the Orcs originated, and where the Dranei came from after they fled their home world of Argus. Outland's capitol city is called Shattrath, and it is home to a benevolent race of beings called the Naruu, which are powerful beings made entirely of holy power, called The Light.
Also, there is the third continent, called Northrend, where the powerful Lich King dwells in Icecrown Citadel, with his vast army of undead minions. Northrend is home to the Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight, where the five dragon flights make their home.
Dalaran is also in the Crystalsong Forest, it is the city of magi, floating high above the canopy.

Pandaria is the fourth continent, and home to the Pandaren, a race of bear-like people who are peace-loving, though not defenseless. Their main city for the Alliance is called the Shrine of Seven Stars, and for the Horde, it is the Shrine of Two Moons.

Oops, yeah. I kind of forgot about this thread. Anyway, the club got five votes, and it's the only one that was suggested so far... so I guess that means it wins. *shrug* I know absolutely nothing about it, though, so someone else is going to have to make it

If this was the other site, I'd be all over that like white on rice. But I'm not sure how it works on this one. I could help with ideas on how to set up the pages and whatnot?

I'd start with making the boards. We need a main board, and then subboards that are for each individual place in the game.

It'd have to be the main cities, and a few key places of interest then, because there are way too many to have listed as pages.

Yeah; listing them all would take forever lol! Just the important ones like you said. Maybe finding a map and placing it in a thread under the club would be good.
