Aron brushed his fingers along her temple, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Now, what was that you said about kissing me...?" He smiled, less his usual cocky smile and more a goofy one. He felt a little light-headed, drunk on the adrenaline.

"That I never wanted to stop." She breathed and tilted her head up to him expectantly, pleadingly.

"Then we won't," Aron whispered. He kissed her again, pushing his body forward, his hand on her shoulder, so she leaned back on the couch. He hovered over her, his arms supporting his weight on either side of her so his body didn't quite touch hers.

"Don't." Valerie mumbled, pulling on Aron's shoulders. "Don't hover."

Aron was hesitant, but he slowly lowered his body onto hers, though he kept some of his weight off her so he didn't crush her. He wasn't a huge guy, but he was fairly tall and mostly muscle. After a few seconds, he moved away from her lips and kissed her jawline before moving down to her neck. His lips brushed there gently, trailing kissed that were unusually tender for him. Everything he was doing was usually tender for him.

Valerie whimpered, hesitantly placing a hand in his hair and one across his shoulders.

Aron returned to her lips and nipped at her lower lip. He shifted his weight to one arm and ran his other hand down her side, coming to a stop at her hip. Without really thinking about it, he slipped his fingers under the hem of her shirt, his hand gliding back up against her bare skin.

Valerie gasped loudly, effectively separating her mouth frrom his.

Aron pulled away, his eyes snapping open wide. "Sorry... I'm sorry..."

Valerie shook her head, "Don't be sorry, it's just surprising." She looked up at him blushing. "I can feel it everywhere. Is..." She swallowed and looked away. "Is it always like this?"

"Not for me," he told her. "With you, it's different though. I've never felt this way before." He traced his fingertips absently against her waist.

Valerie trembled then looked at him shyly. "How do I know you're not just saying that. Isn't that what every girl wants to hear?" She placed her hand over his to keep him from pulling away.

"Hmm, maybe," Aron said. "But it's the truth. The way I see it, I have no reason to lie to you."

Valerie looked at him deeply for a moment. Her free hand reached up and tugged him back down to her.

Aron closed his eyes again and lost himself in her. Time seemed to slow down and fly by in a blur simultaneously. He couldn't say how much time had passed before he tested the deeper waters again, sliding his hand under her shirt and splaying his fingers over her stomach. He had been telling the truth. For him, there was usually just this primal lust. With her, that was there too, sure, but something else, too. Maybe it was because she was a person to him, not a stranger. He didn't want this to be a one-time thing. He hoped to God or whatever deity was out there that it wasn't.

Valerie tensed at his touch, arching against his hand trying to get closer to the heat of his hand, trying to escape the clench in her stomach.

"Val..." Aron said, his voice husky. He didn't think he'd be able to control himself if this went much further. "Maybe..." But he couldn't get the words out. He didn't want to stop.

"Maybe we should stop." Valerie breathed and held him in place. "I - I want to continue but I'm not ready. And I don't think I'll be able to say no in a minute."

Aron let out a slow, shuddering breath. He closed his eyes for a moment to collect himself and then pushed himself up gracefully so he was sitting on the edge of the couch. He bowed his head, trying to get his heavy breathing under control. He wished his heart would stop thudding so loudly.

Valerie sat up slowly beside him, she still couldn't fathom not being as close to him as possible but she was glad they stopped.
