The fleet landed in Seaguard, Rori was taken to the magistrate's castle and remained there for medical attention. His condition had worsened and now... It was all the Maester could do to heal him.

Now, he was lying on an actual cot with furs for the first time in nearly a moon. He was breathing weakly and was deathly pale, he felt weak... So incredibly weak. And the Ironborn knew this too... But instead of pouncing like rabid dogs as he predicted, they always waited in tense silence... Camped on the beaches... Camped at the walls...

Vein hadn't been allowed in as much, because of Rori's condition. But, after a few days, a small blonde barreled down the hallways before crashing into the Dog. He catches her before she fell onto the ground, and she flailed at him, running her mouth a few minutes before going inside Rori's room, a blubbering, but more quiet, mess.

Rori's eyes opened slightly, he focuses on the blurry wall, a cold sweat breaking out across his body... He had been running through his memories in an endless loop and each time he thought about it... He felt a sudden piercing his chest

Mesa prances in her spot for a few moments before scampering to one side of the room to wet a cloth. She hustles back over to his side, and gently wipes his forehead, "It's okay Rori,"

Rori's hands slowly cup over her's and he smiles weakly,"... Mesa.. How'd you get here?

"I was in the boats trailing behind," she explained gently, "the ones for clean up and extra supplies, because we're kind of low on people that can cook edible food," she sniffed and was cut off by a hiccup.

He smiles faintly, his eyes fluttering close,"... You always hiccup... When yer upset..." He mumbles, his limbs feeling like lead..

Mesa holds his hand, her cheeks puffing outwards as she tries to bite the oncoming hiccup down, "O-or... When I'm scared," she casts another look around the room, "Have they been looking after you properly?"

" I suppose," he answers and chuckles softly, closing his eyes," Oh little Mesa... Sorry.."

"I'll... I'll just need to start my get better treatment then, so you'll get better faster," she rubbed her eyes dry, her nose wriggling as she breathes it all in.

Mesa leans over and hugs him gently, "You need a hug more than me," she fussed at him.

Rori gently strokes her hair, supressing his winces, nuzzling her quietly," Shush, Mesa, you're tired and upset..."

"Mmmmnph...!" she huffed weakly, "and you have a hole in you, and need to be babied. Densil would tie you down and not let you leave for months,"

" Why do you think I chose you to come?" He laughs softly

"I'm glad to be number two," Mesa chimed with a giggle, "Maybe I should make you stay here awhile too, for making us worry,"

" I don't have much choice in that matter," he points out, resting his arms around the little girl contently

"You're right that you don't," Mesa mumbled at him with a small nod of her head, "You're a landed fish."
