The man's eyes widened momentarily. "Other than that, what do you know of the fellow?"
Coren crept along the edge of the courtyard, trying to keep his attention focused on the noble and his job, opposed to those in training and Annie Slynt.
Coren tried his best to keep his back turned to Annie.
"Well, I'll let you return to that. If you find yourself in need of my assistance, let me know." The head of the sworn swords went back to instructing the trainees.
The noble mentioned a meal with the Slynt's, which made him ponder two things. The first being if he would be required to sit through the meal, as well--the thought made him nervous. It also made him wonder who this man was to warrant such a greeting at Harrenhal--he appeared rather insignificant in regards to looks, strength, and intelligence. Could his importance to the Slynts lie solely in his name?
As they made their way towards where the meal would be held, it became more and more evident that he would be forced to attend the meal, as if one noble hadn't been bad enough. Coren sighed and tried to tune out the words of the noble as he continued to babble on.
Coren talked to the guards for a few minutes before excusing himself. His tolerance for their company was low. He ended up standing by himself a few feet away from where most of the people were gathered.
Annie drifted too, only talking when someone else approached her first. She really hates speaking to nobles. They were so uptight and had literally nothing interesting to say.
She found herself on the edges of the small crowd. Sighing, Annie glanced around and a young man nearby caught her eye. She looked closer and gasped quietly. It was him! It had to be!
Coren was looking off in the other direction and didn't notice Annie right away. He scanned the crowd for the noble he was guarding, which he found in a group standing not far away from her.
His eyes widened at the sight of Annie. He should have known he'd run into her here.
