(Sure, and I'll do it this time. )
TIME ~ SKIP
Emilaya settled down on the grass - a dark blue, slightly coarse sheet spread under her - and opened up a small basket. She unloaded it - sandwiches, good drinks, some candies. She leaned back on her hands and spread out her legs, smiling softly at the sunshine pouring down on her pale, pale skin.
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
"Well don't you look like you're having fun?" Reid said, walking up to her, setting his stuff on the ground and settling down beside her, a lazy grin on his face. He leaned over and gave her a quick kiss, leaning back again, against his hands.
"I'm quite surprised, I usually envisioned Slytherins to be in their dormitory all day," he mused, taking the chip and popping it in his mouth. "Then again, you're not a normal Slytherin," Reid continued, chuckling.

She scooped up more chips with salsa and munched into it with a pensive look on her angular face, "Y'know, I've always been female. Never male. Not even as a child."
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
He made a noise in the back of his throat. "You know, I've always wondered about that... Was it a feeling you got, that you weren't truly who you were?"

"Eh, kinda," She shrugged, "I never fit any of my male clothes correctly, I always preferred bright and bold colors like women wear, and I loved putting on my mother's makeup for her. I helped with braiding her hair and my little sister's hair, and I always felt very attracted to men, but I didn't feel gay."
"You'll never know the endless nights, the rhyming of the rain."
Reid was quiet for a moment, mulling over what she said. "It must've been hard," he finally said, pinching his eyebrows together, "and weird... Though I'm glad you figured it out in the end." He gave her a gentle smile.
"It's going to be quieter here then, without you," he said, tilting his head back to look up at the sky. "What'll I do when you're gone?" His mouth twitched in a smile.
