Anita gave a small smirk, tucking some hair back. "Hm.. Is it me?" She grinned at him and kissed him again, a hand on his chest.

"Always." He stood up, easily lifting her with him, wrapping her legs around his waist. One hand splayed out on her back, holding her up, the other cupping the back of her neck. "Where the hell is your bedroom?"

Anita grinned when he picked her up, wrapping her arms around his neck again. She pointed down the hallway, burying her face in the crook of his neck.

Alex grinned and carried her down the hallway, depositing her somewhat unceremoniously on the bed. He knelt on the edge and his eyes took her in. "Eres bella," he whispered. "So beautiful."

Her deep brown eyes watched him, smiling faintly as he complimented her. "Thank you, my handsome man," she said, taking in his body as well; his strong muscles, the sharp curve of his face. Alex truly was the love of her life and nothing could replace that.

Alex leaned forward, bracing himself on either side of her, and kissed her again. "No more talking," he whispered.

Anita awoke slowly the morning after. Sunlight was streaming from the window into the room and Anita cuddled up in the blankets further, trying to ignore the reality of daytime.

It had been a long time since Alex had woken to a warm body. Cozy and content underneath the blankets and tucked against her, he decided in his half-asleep state that he never wanted to leave this bed. This was always where he was meant to end up. "Good morning," he murmured.

Anita, who had been facing away from him, rolled over so that they were lightly touching each other. She smiled as he greeted her, giving a big yawn. Her body was sore, but pleasantly so. "Good morning," she whispered, her half closed eyes staring into his. "How did you sleep?"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Mmm," Alex replied wordlessly. He closed his eyes and leaned his forehead against hers. "Better than in a long time."

His gravelly voice was the most beautiful voice shed ever heard. She closed her eyes as he pressed his forehead against hers. "I'm glad to hear that. Do you want some breakfast?"

Alex watched her through half-lidded eyes. "You going to cook for me?" He sounded amused, though not in an entirely insulting way.

Anita put on a falsely offended face. "How dare you. I am an excellent cook." She broke into a smile and then sat up in the bed and gave a tremendous stretch. She stood and clothed herself. "Come on. I will cook for you."

A huge grin spread on Alex's face as he got up. He pulled on his jeans but left his shirt on the floor where it had fallen last night. "I'd love to see this," he said.

Anita grinned as she led the way into the kitchen. Soon enough, she had cooked crispy bacon, a few fried eggs, and had cut up a fresh tomato and salted it. She served it at the small table in the kitchen, smiling at Alex. "It's not much, sure, but I have been known to cook slightly better. Dig in."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Alex took in a deep breath. It did smell good. Maybe he remembered incorrectly. He picked up his fork and popped a bite into his mouth. He chewed slowly, an intensely thoughtful look on his face--maybe a bit melodramatic--before he swallowed. "Okay," he said. "You got me. It's delicious."

Anita watched, perhaps a bit anxiously as he ate his first bite, and then grinned when he said it tasted good. "I'm glad you like it." She began eating as well.

Alex took another bite, then gestured at her with his fork. "So, can you cook anything else, or just breakfast?"

"I can cook other things, yes. I actually prefer baking, though. Cakes and pies and all that."

Alex made a face. "Wonderful. I can always see myself getting fat." He flashed a teasing smile and winked.
