" Maybe.. We have to READ it," She smirks at him

He wriggles his nose and leans forward sniffing it, "Smells old--not many other people have touched it. I wonder why," he rolls his eyes and leans back plucking another book from the pile, "but I'll listen to you read it. If I fall asleep don't be offended,"

" i won't," she chirps and reaches up, poking his nose playfully before a blush spreads across her skin and she turns away to look at warmer cloaks

His big green eyes watch her back for a few moments before his attention returns to the books. He picks up the stack from the floor and sets them onto one of the coffee tables. Looking around the room once he retracts his hands from them he shuffles over to the window and stares out like a guard dog.

She taps his shoulder," Chys...?"

[Light]

"Did you find one?" He asks, eyes leaving the winter landscape outside and focusing onto her face.

She nods and holds up a slightly thicker tan cloak with a hood and furry trims to keep the warmth inside

[Light]

"Alright," he picks the books back up and moves over to the counter near the old woman. He reaches in his jacket and pulls out a small skin sack, fishing for coins to pay. He sets down a few, and her old shakey fingers pull them into her hands and set them in her own compartment for keepin money, "go ahead and out it on," he tells her as he turns back around, books in tow.

Koi bobs her head and puts it around her shoulders, smiling and suddenly hugging his arm

[Light]

Chrys takes her sudden action in stride, blinking down at her, "Ready to go back home...?"

[CrimsonMoon]

She nods and follows him

[Light]

Chrys breathes out in a small puff, the trail of smoke escaping out of the corner of his mouth as they start back the way they came.

Koi Skips after him, staying close to his side and smiling, humming

[Light]

T I M E S K I P

Chrys opens the house door with his foot, both arms occupied. His green eyes close for a few seconds as he yawns, exhausted from the long walk.

Koi looks at him from over his shoulder," Do you want me to carry something..?"

[Light]

"Naw, i'm good," he shrugs his shoulders a bit and steps into the house quickly.

Koi follows him and sits next to the fire, glancing at him before quickly looking away and murmuring," I get to make dinner.. remember?"

[Light]

He dumps the books in a corner and nods his head to her, "Alright, I have food in the back room... somewhere... I think..."

Koi hops back to her feet with a little nod, retreating to the other room with an instinctive bow

[Light]

Chrys mumbles under his breath with a small roll of his eyes--he'd have to break her of that habit soon.
