Koi nods and sniffs, tiltin her head as she skips after him, shivering as a gust of cold air blasts through the trees and sets the branches chattering like skeletons

Chrys slows down as the buildings come into sight, and holds his hand out to her, "Alright,"

Koi winces away from his hand, but hesitantly takes it, her hand trembling slightly as she held his hand but than her grip gained cofidence

"Remember to not stand out too much," he grumbles as he leads her towards a strip of stores.

" M-mk..." She whispers and sticks close to his side like if their arms did not touch, she would be dragged away..

He stops in front of a store and pushes open the door with his free hand, "Cloak, books and odds and ends,"

She peaks around him and her eyes widen," Cool.."

Chrys walks over to a small stack of dusty books and bends down poking at them. The place was older than the other stores, and only had one person it seemed in the whole building--one old lady plus a cat that was perched on the windowsill. "Take your time," he murmurs to her over his shoulder.

Moi blinks and nods uncertainy, crouching next to him and pulling out a book, dusting it off

Not really able to read, Chrys randomly picks up on turning it over a few time in his hand before setting it by his feet away from the main stack. "That human won't bite much--only if you break something of hers in here."

" she's probably better than Mast-... Fat man.." Koi murmurs, holdin a book out to him and smiling," It's about dragons.."

He blinks at it, his eyes dialating as they fixate onto the cover, "...I never thought to read about something I am. Cool." He murmurs under his breath, poking at the words like a child with a unknown animal or bug.

She pushes it gently into his hands before scanning the pile and the reading the title aloud," 'Secrets and Stratedgies to Make Your Man-'... This seems like a book on slavery,"(xD)

(X//3) Chrys owlishly blinks at her as he sets the book down on top of his other, "...I don't know how good a book that would make for a bedtime story..."

Koi hums in agreement before reading another title," ''The Lives of Others'..." She tilts her head and turns it around curiously

"Sounds... Educational...." He mutters, digging around the pile for the ones with the most pictures. "I did wonder once... What it would like to be what they call 'royalty'," he licks his lips a bit, the skin cracking from dryness, "and I decided it would be very unpleasant and boring as hell."

"Does it involve fish and bear meat?" He asks, squinting at the books cover as if trying to discern the books over rating from how good it looked.
