" I just, Want to thank you a thousand times over... For bothering to help me," She murmurs, Rubbing her nose and smiling shyly at him. Her thin shoes crunching in the snow

"...." He wrings his hands in front of him, "No problem... Just try not to wander of too far from me," he warns, his face growing serious, "Fatties probably looking for you."

She nods and huffs," He's probably got all his hounds looking for you too... He'll try and kill you if he finds you... You know?" She glances at him and frowns slightly, her shoulder bumping his arm accidently

"I know," he says in an amused tone, "I'll deep fry them--" he stops and purses his lips, remembering that she didn't want any of them to die, "or make them medium rare."

" Make them extra crispy," She reminds him with a mischievous smile, skipping ahead of him and picking a red berry off a bush

His face splits into rare grin that quickly disappears as he sniffs the air to make sure what she was grabbing was safe, "Be careful what you decide to just pop into your mouth,"

She breaks it open with her fingernails and sniffs it," Smells like syrup.."

He leans over looking down at it warily, "It'd be best to just throw it down on the ground. If the animals haven't eaten them yet then they might not be safe."

She nods and huffs, but chucks the berry ito the snow, where it disappears without a trace," Have you always lived like this?" She asks, glancing at him

"Yes." he continues forward slowly, a black tint to his feet as he marches across the snow.

" You've never gotten lonely..?" She asks, glancing back at him

"I didn't know what company was until I landed in a farmers pasture and became a pet for a few months." He wraps his scarf tighter around his neck, the bright red material the only colorful thing he seemed to own.

" a pet?" She echoes," Like me..?"

"Naw," he shakes his head a bit, "the old geezer was so blind he thought I was a DOG,"

He sniffs a bit, snickering a bit under his breath. "Mhm."

" Awwww~!" She sings," I never knew old people were so CUUUTE~!"

"They're old people," he gives her a bewildered look, his eyebrow tilting up.
