The queen slipped her arm through her niece's as they walked from the seats to where Lord Kaid sat, "Excuse, my Lord," Queen Kali said gently, a respectful little smile on her lips.

Cat was massaging Kit's shoulder, which had been injured a little from the joust, when Fae approached them. She smiled brightly at the princess, "Did you see that? We beat them~ I knew we could."

Fae smiles but quickly explains what happened.

Scout's eyes widen and he opens his mouth wordlessly

Rhos smiled timidly and curtsied briefly.

"I have some...news regarding your engagement to my niece," Kali began carefully. She didn't want to offend him, obviously, because the fault was hers for entering the bet in the first place.

"It seems I've made a miscalculation on the abilities of our jousters," She said with forced sheepishness- Kali didn't really care that they had lost, "And me in my excitement made a silly bet. I shouldn't have, but I owe the Princess of Odin Rhoswen's life. Since I lost my bet, Princess Faerydae has requested that Rhoswen not marry you and I stick true to my word. The engagement will be called off."

Rhoswen watched him go, feeling a little guilty. But it wasn't like he could have loved her anyways. She pecked her aunt on the cheek with a smile and hurried away toward the tent. She'd been away from Scout long enough.

Queen Kalidara watched Lord Kaid leave, her hazel eyes narrowing. Hopefully, he wouldn't cause trouble for her court because of this.

Fae stood next to the queen and murmurs," Magic is illegal here, isnt it?" She asks softly

Rhoswen giggled and buried her face against his neck, not even caring that he smelled a little like sweat. She hadn't seen him in so long that he could have been covered in mud and dirt and she would still cling to him.
