Half an hour later and Shasta walked out with newly dyed purple hair and dressed to leave the house.

"Geez, you took long enough," Donato scolded him. "Now we're going to be late to the party."

"Whatever." Shasta snapped, pushing passed him and heading downstairs. "Let's just get this sh*t over with."

Donato sighed heavily and followed him. This was just going to be the best mission ever. Goody.

Ash looked up from the magazine he was reading and let out a small smile, though concern shone in his gaze as he stood from the couch and walked over to Shasta. "How did you sleep?"

"As good as usual."

"I like your hair color."

"I decided I needed a new change. A fresh start."

Ash nodded in understanding. "To forget everything. And everyone." His gaze flicked to Donato.

Donato just sneered at Ash, his arms crossed over his chest. He was sick and tired of the other male's 'looks.'

Ash shook his head. Wow, Donato really did fail.

"Come on, we should get our mission done and over with so that we can relax." he said, heading to the door.

Shasta followed silently.

"I'm in charge of the mission this time," Donato said. "Just remember that."

Ash sent him a glare while leading Shasta to the area.

Shasta nibbled on his lower lip while resting his hand upon the hilt of his pistol, which was stored away on his belt. He didn't like when they were given missions like these. Sure, Ash and Donato could handle carrying out a statue by themselves, but... How was he expected to keep watch of an entire museum? Ugh, these people were frustrating.

Donato, once again, had a bored expression on his face. Parties really weren't his scene, and when robbing a museum it was easiest to do it when there was a nice social gathering in the lobby.

Shasta hummed and noted that quite a few people were beginning to leave the area. Looking up at the clock, he noticed that it was getting close to closing time.

Donato moved toward Shasta, seeming to just wander aimlessly. When he was close enough, he gave the other male a small nod and then time froze around the three thieves.

Ash was quick to move toward the statue, ready to get this over with. He could tell how anxious Shasta felt, and he knew that the boy didn't enjoy going through any sort of unease unless he was in a safe place. So he wanted to get his best friend, the boy he so desperately wanted to call his lover, into the sanctuary of home as soon as possible.

"Come on, Donato, quit trying to act like a bada*s and help me." Ash growled as he braced his hands on either side of the statue. What? There was no other way they were going to get it out of there. Unless they were magic.

Donato cracked his knuckles and walked up to the statue. "Let's do this thing!" he said. They'd have to go down the hallway to a flight of stairs, somehow manage to get the statue down those, and then haul it across the lobby and out the door.

Ash rolled his eyes. Annoying brat, he thought to himself with a quiet growl, walking over as well and taking the other side before lifting. Turning his head this way and that, he grunted as he shifted the weight of the art piece a bit so it was easier to carry. "Lead the way." He stated with a slightly strained voice. What? It's not like he was superhuman or something. Everyone has their limits. He was nearing his because of his stupid mission.

Donato's muscles strained as he helped Ash carry the statue toward the door. In doing so, though, his concentration slipped and time started again. Oops.

Shasta froze, seeing five guards walking around. "Guys." He hissed under his breath. The guards must have heard it and turned their heads, seeing the two carrying the statue. They started toward them.

"Idiot!" Ash barked at Donato.

"Sorry!" Donato exclaimed. He tried on focusing his mind again, but he was too panicked to control his powers.

The guards immediately took out their guns, recognizing the thieves.

"You there! Stop!" they called, half of them rushing toward the two men holding the statue while three others came over to Shasta.
