Donato laid on his bed for a long time, just staring at the ceiling with a melancholy expression on his face. Happy drunk had become depressed drunk. He shouldn't have said any of that, and not because it had hurt Shasta's feelings. He didn't want the other boy to know about his... unwanted feelings.

Shasta sat on the couch downstairs, knees brought to his chest and arms wrapped around his legs. He had a clouded, mournful expression on his face.
