He followed him to a room where the master, a very old man with eyes of pure white, sat, with five servants kneeling before him. He gestired to him,"these fice are the only that resemble her in some way"
Julianne looked around. None of the boys had red hair. She leaned her head forward to cover her face with her long red hair--surely her brother would as well? But-- she looked at the boys. None of them looked up with glee, or even held a glimmer of recognition in their faces. Maybe this hadn't been such a good idea. She shook her head, throat closed and unable to speak. She stepped closer to Joesph, and clutched his shirt.
He could feel her sadness and wrapped an arm around her,"thank you for your kindness I will owe you a favor but who we are looking for is not here" he said and the old man bowed to Joseph before Joseph himself turned with Julianne to leave.
Julianne clutched Joesph's shirt harder; he wasn't here. Deep down, she had always known it was a possibility but... No. He must be somewhere else then. The question now was: where? Once they had left the building, Julianne turned to Joesph, steeling herself. "Thank you, even if we weren't successful. Now I know one more place where he's not."
He took her hand and squeezed it,"we will go to the next town, dont fear" he told her and then lifted her up onto her horse,"we must make a stop first however" he told her.
Julianne's face felt. "Oh, of course." Her voice was quiet. She had known from the start that finding her brother was a long shot, but.. She shook her head, then turned to Joesph."Good idea." She forced a smile. "All this riding made me hungry."
He gazed at her with a raised eyebrow,"yeah ok, well lets head over" he said and lead their horses to the market, watching from the ground to make sure nobody stole anything from them.
Julianne smiled back as she took the food from him. "Thank you. No one's ever been so kind." She raised an eyebrow. "Is there a way I could repay you?"
