He straightens up, his back popping making him mutter a bit under his breath. He turns to Rori and stares for a moment before smiling weakly, "Rori."

Rori smiles back, shivering,"... Dad... Sorry..." He breathes, staring at his father with wide eyes... He was scared... What if dad didn't forgive..?

He reaches out and lightly messes up his hair, "mhm. Me too."

He smiles and puts his hand on his dad's shirt,"... I'm an idiot... Sorry..."

He rumbles deeply, the sound a mix between a laugh and a sigh, "I know that feeling. Don't be hard on yourself."

"... Are they working you too hard?" He asks softly, looking up at his face as if searchjng for wounds," are they being really cruel?"

"Nothing I'm not used to." He pulls his hand back and rubs his forearm, "Im fine Rori."

"... Are you sure?" He asks softly, his grey eyes looking for anything...

He picks his dry lips and nods his head, "You should be more worried about yourself." He lowers his voice bending down, "stay away from the ladies husband as long as you can. Keep your little friends in your sight at all times, trust me Rori."

Rori bites his lip and nods,"... You and Densil stay safe.. Ok?" He whispers and looks ready to cry but doesnt show it very obviously

He gently leans down more and presses his forehead against Rori's, "I'll try and keep him out of trouble. I've kept you two alive quite a long time haven't I?"

Rori sniffs quietly and nods, putting his hand on the back of his dad's neck in a substitute hug," Yeah.. But now's different... Isnt it?"

"That's right." He agrees, his dark brown eyes staring into his grey, "Your both old enough now to learn how to take care of yourself and make your own decisions. I can't keep you away from the boat any longer."

A bell rings in the distance, and he steps back picking up his satchel of tools, "Bye Rori."

" Bye dad..." He murmurs, hurrying back to the kitchens

The kitchen had calmed down more by them, this dishes done and the room organized. Most were taking a break, two of those people being Densil and Mesa. The brunette was cutting up a cucumber, and Mesa was nibbling on a slice of it like a rabbit.
