Dax Accred was known for being a bit of a free spirit. The guy was young, in his early twenties, with plenty of time in his life. He had a habit of jumping jobs- usually because he was fired for missing work too many times, yet he always found a new job. Probably not the best role model for his brother, but hey, it was who he was.

Today, after sending in an application for a local record store, Dax was itching for some excitement. He walked down the city side walk, leather jacket keeping the autumn air from reaching his skin.

A golden eyed girl, with long black hair walked down the street, obviously being followed, not that she cared. She was wearing white jeans and a black shirt along with a black jacket and combat boots. She rolled her gold eyes and walked towards him, not intentionally, thats just the way the perfectly shaped girl was walking.

Dax's dark hazel eyes had been roaming the city around him, his heightened senses taking in the sights and sounds, when the golden-eyed girl caught his eye. He wasn't really sure why- maybe it was the unusual eye color.

She slipped past him gracefully and turned down an alley, the two men following her running up and into the alley.

Dax blinked and raised one eyebrow. He followed after them, curious.

One the two came around the corner she was gone, as if just burst into thin air, the men were looking around.

Dax slowed down to a casual pace, humming .

She appeared in front of him, looking back at him once before quickly kicking each guy square in the jaw.

He had a little, amused smirk on his lips as he watched, head tilted.

She turned to him, her gold eyes flickering with hate "who are you"

"My name is Dax," he replied casually, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.

She looked back at the two groaning dudes "well Dax i think we should get out of here before those two idiots wake up" she said jutting a thumb at the men

He hummed and nodded, "Alright, let's go then," he turned and headed out of the alley.

She followed him, her long black hair swishing around her shoulder. She stood at his side, her gold eyes flickered up to him. "So what are you, i cant tell right now?" She asked, she could tell he wasnt human.

He chuckled, "What do you think I am?~"

"I just said, i cant tell" she said

Dax chuckled, "You're no fun. I wanted you to guess~ Well, since you asked," he shrugged, "I'm a shifter."

She looked up at him "interesting..." She said then looked back ahead of her.

"Well? What about you?" Dax was watching her expectantly, blinking his hazel eyes.

"Nephlim" she said, "though im technically an angel without a god"
