She jumped back and shifted back into a cougar, her jaws snapping at him, she swings a paw, dragging her nails across his neck.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian hissed in pain as he scrambled to his paws. He crouched in a defensive position, watching her through slitted eyes.

[Lyla]

Jackie stuck to where she was. She wasn't about to let him take her catch or the food she would have to live on for awhile. She kept her jaw agape, ready to lock onto him if need be

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

A growl rumbled deep in Adrian's throat, gradually transforming into something that sounded like... a chuckle.

[Lyla]

She wondered what this guys problem was. He was weird, and she didn't really take well to thieves

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian's ear twitched and he began edging toward the door.

[Lyla]

Her eyes trailed him, just as he was getting I front of the door, she swung her paws, leaping up and snarled. Hoping he bounds back more swiftly. This taking his time nonsense was trying her patience

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian turned and made a dash for the open door. He threw himself through, out into the forest beyond.

After watching the other cat disappear, she waited for the sound of his paws upon the ground to disappear. Finally she shifted back, throwing on her sweatshirt, closed and locked the door, and began to put things away. She then started a fire and threw the rabbit carcass on top of it. Waiting for it to cook.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian paced the ground a few yards from her little cabin, safely hidden by the thick foliage. What to do about this girl? He certainly had to do something. She was far too close to his territory for his liking. Plus, she seemed like she could handle herself in a fight. That was always dangerous in an enemy.

[Lyla]

After removing her dinner from the embers, Jackie threw it on a plate and began picking it apart. Removing the fur, bones and organs. She threw away the bones and fur, and proceeded to consume the rest. For not eating in days the rabbit filled her enough. She treated down the hall and flopped on an old dusty bed.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian returned to his pride's camp, turning his problem over his mind the whole way there.

[Lyla]

After she snuggles up under the musty covers she begins to drift off, she knew if that other cat came back, she would know. Jackie let herself relax, and sleep.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian entered one of the cabins clustered in a small clearing. He lived in it alone. Most of the rest of his pride lived with two or three others. He curled up in his bed, his warm comforter pulled up over him.

[Lyla]

Light streamed in through Jackie's window, smacking her in the face. Rolling over she once again buried herself in the blankets, while her stomach made whale calls, begging her for food.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Adrian went out alone that morning to hunt. It wasn't unusual for him to want to spend some alone time. He found himself drifting in the direction of the girl's cabin, not sure why he wanted to go back. The crazy girl had tried to kill him. He had been stealing from her, though. He'd be pissed if he caught someone in his home, too. There was something about her, though. He liked the fire in her eyes. She could be a good addition to his pride. Not that he was thinking about asking her to join. He doubted she ever would, not after yesterday.

[Lyla]

Jackie rolled out of bed, slumping onto her knees and then extending her legs. She stretches and lopes into the kitchen, throwing around dishes and things, finding old, molded boxes of cereal. Tossing those into the garbage, she finally finds canned soup, shrugging she hopes it's not expired, and tossing a pot into the stove. Emptying the contents of a few cans into the pot, she turns on the flame, and begins to heat up the mush that was her breakfast.

Adrian paused when he heard a rustling nearby. He shifted into his panther form and tasted the air. Just a rabbit. He was hoping for something larger, perhaps something more challenging.
