Bjorn gulped. "...and I really, really like you Kate." He finished in a murmur, embarrassed

She blushed then suddenly jumped forward and gave him a quick peck on his lips then hopped out of the tree house all giddy like.

Bjorn was too shocked to move. Did that really just happen?! He held the sides of his head and slipped into a chair, still shocked and confused

She jumped to the ground and looked up at the house then ran off to do her job.

-a while later-

Bjorn had left, as he said, but a few days later he knocked on the tree that held her house. "Kate! You home?" He called up

She opened her door and looked down at him "hey there, long time no see" she said then waved to him to come up"

Bjorn smiled and bound up into the treehouse. "How've ya been?" He asked, scuffing off the dirt on his boots before he entered

"Ive been alright" she said "what about you?"

"Same here. I didn't get caught this time." He said with a chuckle, taking a seat in a nearby chair. "Raided a few caravans and all that yada yada. It's been good. I wanted to visit. Sorry I didn't send ahead or something to warn you."

"Nah its fine you can stop by any time." She chuckled.

Bjorn smiled warmly. "Thanks! So, any good contracts lately?" He asked, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, clickin the metal claws together as he did sometimes

"Yeah i actually had a challenge for once yesterday" she chuckled, "he was all pissy and going off how he 'didnt want to die' but in the end they all do"

Bjorn laughed heartily. "Yeah. I hate those types. They cry and slobber all over me. It's satisfying to kill em, but I like killing the bold ones better. They put up a fight, and go down fighting. An honorable death for em."

"Yep, but sadly im an assassin so pretty much every time they dont know whats going on till their dead" she said.

"Eh, that certainly is a drawback. But it takes skill to be an assassin, and you've certainly got it." He said with a grin, chuckling

She smiled "thank you, it kinda helps to have been forced into it" she said

Bjorn's smile faded. "Yeah..... I feel sorry for you though, about that part. Being forced into this. But hey, I was forced into being a slave and getting these." He said, holding up his claws with a dry chuckle

She nodded "same her" she said pulling up a sleeve showing the knives beneath her skin.

Bjorn looked up and smiled. "We're two of a kind eh? Special and all that/" he mused with a chuckle. "As I said, you're lucky yours can retract."

"Well i like how yours dont" she said taking a step nearer to him.
