She smiled "can we get ice-cream first."

"I didn't mean right now. You aren't healthy enough to go back to school. But of course we can get ice cream." Dakota grinned, leading the way towards the ice cream shop.

She smiled happily "yay, and i am definitely healthy enough, i promise you"

"No you're not." Dakota protested stubbornly.

"Your so stubborn" she chuckled affectionately "but you shouldnt doubt me"

"I'm not doubting you. Just making sure you don't push yourself too hard." Dakota pointed out. "Your wounds were serious."

"Yeah but that was what two, three weeks ago? Im fine now" she persuaded.

Dakota fixed her with a hard look. "I'm not buying it." He decided after a moment. "If I were to punch you it would open your wounds so you still aren't healed enough."

She frowned" but you wouldnt punch me would you?"

He gaped in horror. "Of course not!" He protested in shock. Did she really believe he would ever actually hurt her?? "I would never hurt you." His voice had dropped and become tender. He had stopped walking without even realizing it and gazed down at her. In his eyes you could see what he felt for her and they just looked so. . . vulnerable.

Seeing him like that made her want to cry, his eyes, they looked so welcoming, and kind, she hugged him "i know you wont hurt me, i trust you" she said softly, pressing her face into his chest.

"Good I'm glad." He smiled, gazing down on her and picking up strands of her hair and letting them run through his fingers. He enjoyed the feeling.

She smiled and pressed her cheek against the back of his hand, her ears twitching and a soft purr coming from her throat, her tails swayed happily.

When she pressed her cheek to his hand he couldn't help but graze her cheek lightly with his thumb. She was adorable with the purring and the ears and the tail.

The two tails that swayed curled up and around his wrist "Dakota...i..i really like you...like...a lot" she said softly.

"You just took the words right out of my mouth." He grinned down at her.
