He shrugged. "Just curious." He was actually a year younger than her, 17.

"How old are you?" She asked.

"17 although it feels like an eternity." He smiled, fiddling with his sweatshirt a little bit.

She chuckled "time only passes when you have fun, looks like we both need some fun" she said then stood up and came put from behind the divider.

He smiled. "You might say I didn't spend my childhood hugging stuffed bunnies and eating sweets." He chuckled, it was his way of saying that he'd never really had any fun as a child.

"It's ok, me either" she said then walking towards him she forced a smile and gestured to the door, "how about we go somewhere?" She didn't really know where to go but she wanted to see him smile, really smile, it was an overwhelming urge that she couldn't resist.

"Alright." He agreed. For some unknown reason he just couldn't refuse.

She smiled and led him out thinking of different places she liked to go, but would he like those places? Only one way to find out. She walked towards a carnival she went to every year, she normally hung out there for the week it was there when she didnt have a place, it was easy to swipe food and get in without paying.

"So where are we headed?" He asked, looking down at her with a tug of his lips.

"somewhere..fun." shes said then grabbed his hand gently and pulled him behind the building, forcing her ears to lie flat and her tails to hide beneath her jacket. She walked towards the wall, walking through it and pulling him after her, into the human world.

He followed, it had been a long time since he'd been in the human world. He hadn't returned since he left his 'home' on the streets.

She led him up to the carnival and seeing the entrance gate she avoided it and went to lead him to a secret little entrance that the carnival always had.

"A carnival?" He raised an eyebrow but there was still the twist of the lips on his face.

"Yeah, i like this place" she said smiling at the big ferris wheel.

"I've never been to a carnival." He admitted sheepishly, gazing around him in wonder.

She tugged him on, squeezing his hand gently, "ill show you around." She pulled him under an over hanger which blocked off the area and then led him towards a fun house.

He started humming quietly as she led him along.

She turned her head and stopped "how are you making that sound?" she asked.

"You mean my humming? Well if you close your mouth and kind of sing but instead of words you 'sing' the tune you get humming." He tried to explain but it was difficult.

she closed her mouth and tried to do what he did, making an odd but sill somewhat pretty sound she smiled "and how do you make it change sounds?" she asked
