Those gray eyes stared into hers for the second time.

"Have you thought about my offer, Daughter of Merlin?" The snake hissed.

Adara didn't hesitate, "I'll get you you're scroll."

Elia held her close.

The snake seemed to smirk, "I knew you would."

Adara grimaced as the snake crawled around her shoulder so the it's head was next to her ear,
"The Land of the Sand, where in the mountains craved a village." It whispered, "There you are to begin your quest."

What? Adara needed more detail, a name or--a paralyzing pain erupted from her neck.
The snake had bite her.
She dropped to her knees, Adara could feel it's venom mixing with her blood.
"I give you a gift. Use. It. Well."
A gift, what gift? She tried to speak but nothing came out.

Adara woke up, her face was drenched in sweat. She realized it was already morning and Elia had slept with her all night.

He woke as soon as she did,"hey, are you ok?" He asked.

She gulped and wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, "Yeah."
Adara jumped out of bed and rushed into the bathroom, locking the door.

He ran after her,"hey, whats wrong, baby!"

She ignored him, too stunned by the snake bite on her neck. Four puncher wounds made a square on her neck.

Adara looked for any signs that she was going to drop dead--nonthing. She looked completely fine, scared out of her mind, but she was fine. Adara didn't feel any different.

She covered the bite back up with her shirt and answered the worried man at her door, "I'm fine, Elia. Just..,girl problems." She laughed.

He blushed,"oh...well, if you need anything, like tampons or something I can go get it..." He said awkwardly.

Adara giggled, "Thanks, but I'm set."
She opened the door to see her mate blushing and she laughed again.

He giggled,"sorry, yiu sure your ok."

Adara casually bushed over her mark and neck, "Uh, yeah."

The overly cautious women rushed past Elia and to her dresser, opening the top draw, "We should get ready for school."

He raised a confused eyebrow,"uhh, are you ok?"

Adara looked over to Elia concerned, "Is that all you can say? Are YOU okay?"

"Its saturday, no school baby" he said backing up a bit, very concerned for his mate.

Adara's mouth dropped, realization dawning on her, she must seem like a crazy person right now.
She laughed nervously, "Oh, I guess my sense of time is off."

He blinked,"babe maybe you should get more sleep"

"No!" She screamed, the thiught of seeing that snake again was frightening.
Adara realized she overreacted, so she lowered her tone, "I mean, no, I have a lot to do today!"
Like find out where she should go for her first quest, pack, get there...
This is going to be hectic.

His eyes widened,"babe, please tell me whats going Idea"

Adara faced tunred grime, she sat on the bed and thought. How would she put it, what would be mot juste words to use?
"Ouroboros contacted me through my dreams."

He raised an eyebrow then smiled brightly,"really?! I liked that snake, I wondered what happened to him" he said happily.
