"There was no robbery," Marko said, smirking.

The doctor narrowed his eyes on the nervous young woman, "Now why would you lie about this man being a hero?"

Because I'm a sucker for a bad boy, Ricki thought with a groan.

"Doc, that's not important! What's important is that an injured man is running around this dangerous city!"

Marko wasn't about to tell the doctor what really happened, but it amused him that she'd lied for him. "Dangerous, indeed," he agreed smugly.

Ricki rolled her eyes at his comment.

The Doctor let out an annoyed sound, "Listen, I don't have time for this. I'm sure someone will find and bring him back, other than that I can't help you." The Doctor walked away before Ricki could argue.

She groaned again. Ricki didn't acknowledge Marko as she turned around and headed toward the exit. She had to find him before he gets himself hurt.

"Hey," Marko said, grabbing her arm. "Do you even know who that guy is?" he asked.

She snatched her arm away and walked out of the hospital without acknowledging Marko.

Marko flashed a grin to nobody in particular before following her. He let out a quiet whistle.

What now? She thought of all the places he could have gone...nothing. She had no idea who this guy was, so how could she know where he would go? Ricki glared behind her to Marko, "So, laddy boy, are you going to follow me or go on your marry way?"
She needed to get this guy off her back, Ricki didn't need the wrong person/people to see her. She needed to be sneaky if she was going to run around town looking for this idiot.

"I am on my merry way," Marko said with a chuckle. "And don't ever call me that again."

"What, laddy boy? Oops." She laughed mockingly.

Ricki walked away from him while looking in the direction she parked the car; well, she was in a hurry so she stopped in front of the hospital without even taking the keys out or locking the car. Must have been stolen. She didn't freak, not wanting any attention from anyone (specifically Marko). Ricki continued on walking into the parkinglot, acting like she knew where she was going.

Marko strolled along right behind her, not saying anything. He was content to just be there, which he knew what annoying the crap out of her, which of course was his goal.

Ricki knew she had to lose him or be wouldn't leave her alone. Time for all that training from track and cross country to come in handy: she booked it. Ricki ran toward the buildings across the busy street without looking anywhere but forward. Ricki knew she was fast--very fast--but she didn't know Marko, just hoping he wasn't a track star.

Marko stared after her curiously before breaking into a sprint himself. He kept up with her easily, though it was hard to tell if he was trying to catch her or not. He ran every morning, so he was in pretty good shape. He was no track star, but he was a fast runner.

Ricki kept her breathing under control, she pushed her body harder when she heard Marko's pounding feet behind her--damn, this guy can run.
In a sharp turn, Ricki ran into an alleyway.
With her pounding heart added to the darkness, she had to abruptly stop before she slammed into the wall of the deadend ally. Ricki groaned a couple curse under her shaken breath.
She skimmed over the alley and noticed a metal door beside her, it was held open with a wooden block. Without concerning herself with what was on the other side, she pushed the door open and kicked away the wooden block, allowing the door to slam shut.

Marko heard the door slam, but when he rounded the corner, he could hardly make anything out in the darkness. Dammit, where was the door?

Ricki looked around the back room of what seemed like a club due to the screaming and loud music. She slipped out of the restricted area and into the main floor. The room looked interminable, the dark ceiling only light by the flashing neon lights. The defying music made the room feel like a cave that echoed every sound. What made this different from any club she's every been to was the hug cage in the middle of the room, it was like a boxing ring but incased by metal wires. Weird.
Ricki glanced around, her chaser nowhere in sight. Something--or one caught her eye. He was a floor up, on what looked liked a VIP balcony. A shiver came over her that shook her to the bone, something about that man scarred her.
Ricki wanted to know why and who this man was. She headed for the stairs.

Marko finally located the stupid door. Damn, the thing was so rusted it hardly showed against the brick. He flung it open and hurried inside, spotting Ricki just before she disappeared up the stairs.
