Ricki started the car and floored it.

Ricki has been waiting hours for a doctor to give her any type of information on the guy she ‘rescued’. She was worn, slumped over the uncomfortable ER chair, and had her hand pressed against her forehead while she stared at the linoleum tile. The hospital was a train wreck at this hour. All Ricki could ear was coughing, crying, sneezing, screaming, muffled echoes from the TV that was channeled on the news.
A stink of unration stung her noise, making her want to vomit.

With a huff, Ricki shot out of the chair and stormed over to the front desk. The lady just hung up the phone and shot her a pointed look, “Yes, young lady?”

“I’ve been here for hours—“

The lady rolled her eyes and focused her attention on the empty forms in front of her, she gestured over to where Ricki was sitting, “Not my problem.”

“Can you at least—“

“No.” The lady cut her off again.

“You didn’t even—“ Ricki started frustrated.

“Yes, I do. You want me to look-up a room number?”

“That would be great, yeah.” Ricki groaned.

The lady glanced at her for a moment, then back at her papers, “Sit down, I’ll see what I can do.”

“Thank-you!” Ricki cheered, casing a few heads to turn her way.

“Now, sit down!”

Ricki huffed, but obliged.

Marko poked his head through the doors of her ER, and then cursed when he saw her sitting there. "Still here?" he asked as he casually strode up to her.

Ricki was (half) shocked to see him, the guy that shot and almost killed a man, standing in front of her. How did he find her? Well, this is the closest hospital she found, so she figured even a idiot like this man could put two and two together.
How dare he? The audacity of this man!
Though tired and so not in the mood for a debacle, Ricki shot of the chair and got into his face, "Are we going to have a problem, cico?" (Cico is boy in Spanish)

Marko gave a short, humorless laugh. "No. No problem. I was just curious."

Ricki's eyes rolled, "Well, take your curiosity and leave. You've done enough." She said brusquely. He, along with all the nosies, were driving her fatuous to the point of making her brain explod.

"Hey, look," Marko said, stepping toward her. "I'm sorry."

Ricki chuckled dryly, she crossed her arms over her chest (a habit of hers when she was nervous), "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to."

Marko sneered. "I won't be apologizing to him, if that's what you mean. He got what he deserved."

Ricki rolled her eyes, of course he would say that, she didn't expect anything different from an ءsshole like him.

"Marie Ricki?" A male doctor called out making Ricki groan, she hated her first name.

Ricki pushed past Marco and walked over to the elderly man in a white coat, "Yes? How is he?"

The doctor looked uneasy making Ricki's heart race, "He healed marvelously, but he was mentally unstable. The nurses had to tie him down. I told him what you told me, about the robbery, and him jumping in front if you and getting shot. He freaked out again and told me I was lying and screamed out about getting revenge. When I turned to get antistatics to clam him down, he was gone."

Ricki's face fell, "Gone, what do you mean /gone/?" She screamed.

"As in he escaped the ties and jumped out the window and ran."

Marko strode over to Ricki's side. "What robbery?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at her. "Did you lie to the doctors?"

The doctor look at him weird then at her, "Excuse me?"

Ricki wanted to die.
