Nala leaned against a building's side wall, her chest heaving, as she tried to catch her breath. Wiping her cheek hesitantly, she let out a hiss, brushing over a cut. She had just gotten out of fight between some guy; she neither truly cared for people's names, nor did she try to learn them. Thankfully, this time, she was the victor of this fight. Though, she had managed to do a number on her face; bruises made her cheeks and nose swell and cuts crisscrossed along her forehead and chin.
Letting out a sigh, Nala let her hand drop to her side, completely exhausted from her previous activity. She could probably head back to her family, though she doubted that it would make her safe; if she did go back, she would only hurt them, literally. She slowly got to her feet, putting a hand on the wall to support herself, as she slowly made her way out of the ally.
A beautiful young girl, from the left side at least, her eye was a chocolate brown and her face was perfectly olive, but when she turned her face to directly look at you, did you still see beauty, half her face had makeup making her look like a skeleton, she used it to cover up a burn mark that went from her cheek to her forehead, though it wasn't visible her right eye was glazed over with a light blue film, bling in one eye but she still held a warm smile on her face, her red hair was short and curled, went to her shoulders with bangs covering her forehead in a diagonal swish. Her body was tall and thin reaching a nice height of 5'6" not too tall but not short. She had nice curves and no fat, all muscle.
Upon seeing the girl she strutted over "need some help?" She asked having been in situations like the girl was in.
Nala twitched, surprised to hear the girl's voice; most people, when they saw her, had a placid expression on their face, and walked right past her. This was quite new, to say the least. "I'm fine, thanks though," Nala managed to rasp back, her long black hair plastered to her face from the sweat. Her blue eyes met the girl's chocolate brown ones and a confused look crossed over her face, as she saw the girl's right side of her face; a skeleton drawn there? What was that all about?
Shaking her head to clear those thoughts only made the world spin, making her stumble a bit. God she hurt everywhere, all she wanted to do was lie down and maybe close her eyes. Yeah...that sounded so good right now...
Nala vainly tried to push the other girl away, her motions weak and useless. "I'm fine, like I said. Just need to rest," she managed to mumble, clenching her eyes close to try and stop her head from pounding. Being close to the other girl made her feel a little nervous, something she did NOT want to deal with right now.
Nala finally succumbed to the other girl's help, her hands falling to her side. "Fine," she finally said, darkness beckoning her to join it. "Don't expect anything in return though," she continued to mumble, putting a hand to the side of her head.
"I dont" she said before helping the girl to sling an arm over her shoulder and she helped her off to her own house, her twin brother rushing out a worried look on his face "what happened?"
Nala let out a grunt to the other girl's brother. She shouldn't be too surprised that the other girl had brought her to her house, or wherever they were. "Got in a fight," she finally muttered to him, limping with every footstep.
Nala let out a hiss of pain through her clenched teeth. "Not helping," she grumbled, trying to flick back the other girl's attempt to help her. Nala knew that she was trying to help, but at the same time, she would rather not have the other girl touching her face, no matter what her thrumming heart said.
Nala wrenched away from her touch, grimacing as pain flooded her cheek. "Oh yeah, that's a whole lot better," she said scathingly, gritting her teeth as the pain slowly faded away once more.
Nala glowered at the other girl, her muscles tense, looking like she was about to dash away at any moment. She played the options in her head quickly and this seemed to be the only one that could work in Nala's favor. With a reluctant sigh, she slowly leaned forward, her eyes narrowed suspiciously, without another word.
"Oh, gee, great! You should contribute to some hospital, I'm sure they would just love your contribution!" Nala said, sarcasm finding its way into her voice once more.
