A new teacher was coming to Riddly's Orphanage. It was an exciting day to get a new teacher, especially after that last one left the poor kids, just as the one before. The large European style building housed around 72 kids of varying ages and had all different sorts of staff to help the kids learn and send them off should they not be adopted. Though, upon entering the Orphanage, one could almost feel a strange air around the children and staff. As if there were some sort of hidden evil lurking, waiting for some new prey to step in it's trap...
But on a much less observant scale, a newcomer could find a tone or feeling of disdain throughout the whole abode. And it all trickled down to one little boy. A boy named Brian.
Devil child he was, according to the staff. Never to be let alone with one other child, set to scour the pots and clean the floors constantly, helping the supposed janitor that no one ever really sees unless he shows himself on purpose. This little dark haired, shy child of 12 had never been adopted, and when a visiting couple might have looked at him, they were warned and talked down from even considering such devil spawn as being able to be their child.
And so Poor, poor Brian remained, growing on through the years. Unwanted and unloved. Such a shame, since he seemed such a sweet child, always trying to make up for any 'wickedness' he had committed and always trying to please the staff and teachers that kept coming in.
Although, the devil can wear many faces, can't he?
