In one of the many forests, a group of soldiers had set up camp there. Unfortunately, they weren't the brightest bunch of men; loud laughs and voices almost seemed to shake the trees, bright fires crackled and popped, casting their shadows everywhere, and their horses stood at the end of the camp, not tied to anything. Wine bottles laid strewn on the ground, some spilling their contents on the ground. The group of soldiers had come back from fighting their neighbors about some land or something. They couldn't really remember what it had been about now, all they knew was that their victory had led them to get more wine and a better status with the king.
It was almost a pity to watch the group of drunken soldiers. A shadow almost seemed to flicker into existence behind a group of trees, turning his head to look at the group. His hand wondered into the back of his pocket, and his fingers wrapped around a small dagger. The metal reassured the assassin, and all the tension from his shoulders disappeared. He could do this, this was an easy one, it shouldn't take him that long to complete this mission. So why did he believe something was going to go wrong...?
Little dis the assassin know that there were other eyes on the very same camp, and multiple. The big bandit group stayed to the shadows, observing the camp keenly, but not as keenly as the twin emerald eyes of their leader as she gazed over the drunk and loud soldiers with a faint smirk. This would be fun....
The assassin shook his head and narrowed his eyes, trying to concentrate. There was a low chance of him actually screwing up; these guys looked like they were too drunk to even stand up properly, let alone wield a sharp object and not get sliced by their own stupidity.
The assassin crouched down and slowly slide to where the horses stood. This was the bigger threat; the horses could very well alert the drunk soldiers, even before he had a chance to kill them. He slowly took out three more daggers, careful to not show his presence. The assassin rolled the dagger across his knuckles, before grabbing the end and flicking it towards one of the four legged beast. The dagger caught the horse by surprise and latched onto its neck, hopefully breaking its trachea. The horse stumbled, before falling to the ground, a gurgled noise coming from it. The other horses kicked their legs up, unable to actually flee, making loud wickers. The assassin grimaced, before flicking the other daggers at the horses. All but one achieved their marks.
The lone stallion who had started thrashing about, had gotten the dagger stuck on its left flank. Its noises alerted the drunk soldiers, each one stumbling to their feet, groaning and shaking their head to clear it. The assassin closed his eyes and clenched his jaw. Fan-freaking-tastic.
However, the bandit group saw this as a great opportunity to attack as the guards were all distracted. Instead of roaring like idiots, they crept forward and started slicing the men's throats. Eventually the guards caught on though and an actual battle ensued, but it was more like a slaughter. The leader, however, had decided to see what caused the distraction.
"Hello, what's this?" A singsong voice said, chuckling as she found the assassin. It was a tall girl with blood red hair, an enticing curvaceous form, dressing in hardened leather with two daggers and a whip at her side. "An assassin, yes?" She purred with amusement
The assassin frowned as he watched the bandits start slaughtering his targets. Though, their death hadn't been his true target, their death by his hands was just an added bonus. Sighing, he had started to stand up, to go and sneak to what he had been sent to get, when he heard the voice. He lazily glanced up, a calm look on his face, to see the girl. He acknowledge her with the tiniest tilt of his head and shrugged his thin shoulders.
"Possibly. I could just be a passerby, happening to stumble on this large massacre," he replied, sniffing softly.
The girl raised an eyebrow at him, obviously not buying it. "A well equipped traveler sneaking about and throwing knives into the throats of horses to silence them. Oh yes, of course you're just a passerby. My mistake." She said sarcastically with a smirk
"I'm surprised you caught that," he said, glancing at his handwork, a sort of pride look in his eyes. He crossed his hands over his chest and leaned against a tree, hating how his time was slowly trickling down. He needed to get out of this conversation, but she'd probably find a way to see what he was doing.
Ugh. Women.
He glanced back at her and replied, "Excuse me for trying to get past these bandits; I had been on my way to the next town, though I had stumbled across these imbeciles. Wanting to keep my place a secret, I had tried to kill off their horses, making sure that they wouldn't be able to catch up to me if they spotted me." He frowned and scratched his chin, looking at the dead stallions. "Seems I missed one; dunno where it went though..."
She raised an eyebrow at him as she seemed even more amused. "You're not a very good liar for an assassin. You should work on that. Half of the boys in my company could lie the shirt off your back and you won't even know." She chuckled, shaking her head
"As much as I am pleased that you keep calling me an assassin, I am sorry to say I am not one of them." He sighed and ran a hand through his tousled black hair. "Like I said, I am just a wandering traveler who got mixed up in all of this," he continued, eyeing her evenly.

Woops! Sorry! Thread got lost!))
Jess raised an eyebrow at him and smirked. "Oh? Just a traveler? So then where are you headed, if I may be so bold to ask." She questioned, hands on her hips and near her weapons
(Oh darn. It was just the site messing you up, huh? I was thinking that if you were gone, you might've gone along with Light and headed to hell to say hi. Crim and I had our bags packed up and everything! u.u)
He shrugged, pausing for a moment. "Really no where; I let the wind take me where it wants me to go," he said wistfully, looking up at the sky. The teen patted the tree a little, before brushing himself off. "If you don't mind, I want to have a look inside of the camp; I could use some supplies they might have."
Oh, you mean my home? Yes, I had to go say hi to my body Lucifer. You can still come XD))
Jess debated on it for awhile but eventually shrugged. "Very well, 'traveler', You can go. Just don't get in any of my boys' way. I may hesitate to speak with you, but they like to kill first, talk later." She warned before heading into the camp herself
He let out a sigh, that he hadn't known he had been holding, and walked into the camp. He smoothly dodged around the guys who were there, and made his way into a large tent. The commander's tent perhaps...? The teen glanced around the tent, trying to find what he had been sent to look for. Finally, he spotted it; a dagger with a gold hilt, sitting on the back table, maps and pens scattered across it.
The assassin brushed away the useless items and grabbed the dagger. He glanced over it, tilting his head to the side. What had made this dagger more special than other ones? He shrugged away that thought, not one to question the meaning of his tasks; whatever made him money, he would do, no matter the cost...

SORRY! GAHABHDCEINA -bursts out from Hell-))
"Hey! What's that you took there!" Someone yelled at him suddenly, revealing one of the men from the bandit group looting the place. "You ain't one of us! What makes you think you can loot without doing any work to earn it, eh?!" He snarled angrily
(Welcome back~ Sorry it took me so long to reply; I have SAT prep and an AP history class for college credits to take. :/)
The assassin stored the knife in his pockets and turned around to face the bandit. "Mm, it wasn't like you're going to miss this little thing; it's only a knife, it isn't worth much." At least, I think it's not worth anything, he amended to himself, grimacing. He cleared his throat and started to brush past the bandit. "I'll be leaving now, if you don't mind," he said loftily.
